This is the first time I am trying to show pictures...so please let me know if it works for you or not. :)

Came through ok for me. I live in Central Florida. After Charley last year we had one of those trucks in the lot next to our house and my 9 year old son just thought that was the coolest thing in the world! He sat and watched them while they cleaned up a HUGE oak tree that had fallen next to the house!

I remember the claw well....and the bobcats...the guys with rakes...and chainsaws...etc. Between Ivan and Dennis I had approximately 30 trailer loads of debris hauled out of my yard. This does mean that future cleanups should be easier as there is less to be blown down now<G>

WOW!! That was quick.

We didn't seen any claws in our neighborhood here in central Biloxi until five weeks after Katrina... And they've still only scratched the surface now that we're two months out!!

For the past three days my small city of miami lakes deployed 100+ private 'Claw trucks"

My neighborhood was cleared in 2 days of almost non stop 25 trucks running.

Miami lakes setup a huge tree dump facility on the west side, where they brought in a HUGE industrial chipper that can practially chip trees whole! This way the waste removal trucks can simply drive 15 min and dump, vs. the county trucks which have to drive 2 hours. :)

Miami lakes is owning the entire county. Pictures will be up later.

Yup worked fine. Again you are lucky to have your debris picked up already. It was 5-6 weeks before we saw one in our neighborhood after Charley. Driving around debris piled up so high it was coming in alot of the roads. It is definitley a welcome sight to see The Claw coming into your neighborhood after a storm. Fun to watch too.

"No, not the craw...the CRAW!"

(I'm dating myself...old "Get Smart" reference.)

Yesterday I saw a caravan of ASPLUNDH claw trucks up here in Sarasota county gassing up. Apparently they were on their way down south.

Who would have thought that those big ugly trucks could be such a welcomed sight...
