It's not common to see a delay of a VDM after they cross the center.

It took about 25 minutes after the crossing to put out the VDMs yesterday, and it appeared they waited because they wanted to transmit the highest outbound winds in the report as well, which is something they don't usually do. I think they are doing that with Beta because they are only making a total of two to three passes before having to head back.

Two things I found interesting from the vortex.First the pressure is above from the 2 PM Advisorie estimate that was at 975 mbs.And second the position is more south 13.4n than the position at the 2 PM advisorie that was at 13.9n.

Actually the position is 13 deg 41 min, not 13.4. It's more like 13.8, pretty close to the advisory position. There are 60 minutes in a degree, so 41 is .75 to .8 of a degree.

Interesting to me was the fact that visually estimated surface winds were 80kts (part D).
Usually they are significantly lower than what the FL winds support and what the NHC sets the intensity at.
