:D Calamity, that 04-05 combo is AWESOME!! How in the world did you do that, erase one whole map's background field? :?:

wxman, as to 2005 to-date maps, here are two others in addition to one already post, both with black background

http://weather.unisys.com/hurricane/atl ... /track.gif
http://www.solar.ifa.hawaii.edu/Tropica ... tl2005.gif

The best one (to read), and with dates, is from Intellicast at

How about another map for 2004-2005-2006, supposing this last one could be another busy one

I was looking for a map of this seasons storms, including Wilma. I had your map pre-Wilma. Can you make one of the 2005 season through Beta that I can use in my talk? I'll give you credit for it.

Thanks!
I no I'm not him, but heres Weather Undergrounds map, the same thing he used:

Yes, that is correct. Those maps came from [http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/]Weather Underground[/url]. (Sorry, link not working the way I want it to)

Yes, thanks to the wonderful Magic Wand Tool.

Here’s another one… not as “holy crap!” as the other, but you get the picture.

1995 to 2005 combined:

185 storms total (including tropical depressions)
90 hurricanes
45 major hurricanes
6 category fives

Credits go to Weather Underground for the graphics.

1851-2005.

In the larger scheme of things -- with time -- no one escapes.

I was wondering when someone would wander over there and get that map . . . it's always amazing to see when you pull up the CSC.

EDIT: forgot one thing; that's the "historical tracks" map, there's no 2005 on it (check the NE Atlantic, the red lines are Cat 1/2 storms and there's nothing there for Vince.)

As weather enthusiast, I considered myself very fortunate to have watched and learned from the incresible seasons of 2004 and 2005 (NOT FINISHED YET!) It has been a ride full of emotions, frustrations, and long nights. Thanks to Storm2k and the NHC for doing a superb job!
