Electricity is back after 6.5 days.

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Sun Oct 30, 2005 6:32 pm

After a few days of frustration, power is back. Finally all the boring nights are over. After all, Mother Nature was kind to my area, there was minor damages to tress, and just some damages to roofs but most wood fences are down. The weather after Wilma has been excellent; windy days and temperatures only compared to heaven.

After Wilma all I can say is that I love to track hurricanes when they are miles away from me!

I like to track em miles away also. I feel fortunate that this part of Australia does not see em.

POWER

#7 Postby HURRICANELONNY » Sun Oct 30, 2005 8:47 pm

My hats off to all the FPL workers. From here and afar they have been wonderful. I just got my power back sunday at 8pm. Almost a week to the day. When I saw the light of day last Monday I said we will be without power for weeks but FPL came through. The power of Wilma was awesome but could not beat the power of will.

First, thanks to everyone, and I'm also extremely glad to be back.
Second, I saw Alpha making history, but not Beta.
