Well the models seem to agree its going there and the synoptic pattern seems to favor it as well. Plus its moving that way.

The landfall is nearing at Nicaragua so let's have those prayers go to those people in Central America now more than ever before.

It seems that no tragic news has comed out from Nicaragua or Honduras so those prayers haved done good for them.Hopefully later on no grim news comes.

Unfortunately, heavy damage was reported, but I'm glad that they all evacuated.

From the Wikipedia article on Beta:

Beta largely wiped out the town of Sandy Bay as it made landfall. Local reports said the town's population of 3,000 had mostly fled in advance. Wooden huts constitute most of the housing in Sandy Bay, and about 80 percent of it was rendered uninhabitable.

Taking "tragic" to mean deaths, it so far sounds good. Here is some more coverage on what is known as of now...

Hopefully they did ok down there. So far it doesn't seem to be as bad as many of us feared.
