Recovery and Halloween

#1 Postby bevgo » Fri Oct 28, 2005 10:07 am

Wow what a lot of changes we never thought about. Halloween is ging to be very different for the children this year. Here on the MS Gulf Coast there are a lot of activities that were in jeapordy but are going to happen now. The Ocean Springs Trick or Treat on Washington Ave is going to happen. There are a couple of plkaces that are doing Trunk or treet. A bunch of cars decorated for halloween in a parking lot and the kids will go from car to car.

I think he meant it. Kids going from car to car and getting candy, sounds like a Trunk or Treat to me.

Here either....the first time it was cancelled since World War II. My church tried to go ahead and put something together but it was just impossible. There's so much damage to the church and it couldn't be worked out. We normally have a Fall Festival every Halloween...food, games, candy, moonwalks, etc. and everyone in the area is invited. Oh well, there's always next year.

Trick or Treating was cancelled in our area as well due to the mountains of debris along with remaining downed power lines along roads and lawns. Funny thing is.................most folks are too tired to notice. :(
