Rain
I am concerned about rain in NOLA. My house there sustained roof damage and we do have a makor leak in the garage and a smaller water stain in the hallway. No blue tarp cause the COE will not tarp unless it is a living area and I cannot do it. Have not even been able to get a roofer out to look yet. Oh Well--the adjuster does not come till Thursday.

I CAN RELATE!
The Corp of Engineers would not tarp mine either because it #1 was not considered structurally sound and #2 because it has(d) a metal roof. With the help of my son and a friend we tied bricks on a string and slung the huge tarp over the roofs of my home and my garage and secured them without having to climb up there. Just make sure there isn't a window on the receiving side
. We were all taking bets on whose tarps will hold up under these high winds and rain tonight. Just in case.......I tried to get what few items of importance that remained OUT. Oh well, I'd like to try those nice grey tarps with the blue trim next anyway. It would look nicer with Christmas lights. LOL Gotta laugh cause I'm all out of tears.

I feel for you Jagno. It was a nightmare after Charley for help with roofs.
Just a note for those of you that needs your roof redone. Make sure you get someone who does a VERY good job because in Charlotte County, we had many roofers who gave good prices and/or did a fast job....the results will be the roof need be redone in a few years - more $$ to dish out!
It's just a thought as we have learned this after Charley.

Well--at least the adjuster will not be out to see my house in the NOLA area till after the rain and probably more leaking. The damage should be worse before he ever sees it. No way to throw bricks tied to a tarp since the peak of the roof is WAAAAAAy to high--LOL. Thet was a great idea though Jagno.

First time in 3 1/2 weeks...
We had no rain between Katrina and Rita. Rita brought a little bit of rain and we have had nothing since. We are dry as a bone!
Yep... We have a VERY wet summer, then we were very dry after Katrina for a while, got a little from Rita, and then had some kind of something(it's been so long I can't remember) sit over us around the 8th-10th of October. It rained the 1st day and was really cloudy for the next 3... and then it was perfectly sunny each and everyday til today.
