I almost voted Texas since it was the area that I feel is most overdue for a BIG one, but I went with North Carolina. Florida doesn't look as vulnerable this year IMHO, but what do I know? ;)

Instead of blue tarps in Florida this year, we're considering using a cloak of invisibility (for all you RPG fans out there).

I've got all my D&D dice ready for this storm season...

hahaha

Maybe we need a stone giant or something poised on our shoreline...

I know! ... a DynoMat Giant! -this thing would turn into a soggy diaper giant as it absorbed an oncoming storm!

No giant fans or stone giants..No Dyno-Crap or icebergs.

Just give me nature in its purest form & all the fury that comes with it! 8-) :)

:roflmao:

We need to calculate the hit points on the soggy diaper giant because after it soaks up the storm, it will reak terrible havoc.

I now have a very disturbing visual of green slime and giant diapers.

I think it would be extremely vulnerable to attack though... like wet toilet paper, it could be easily dissolved/turn into a bunch of mush with little effort.

I remember I used to love that game! Great for the imagination. But it never failed, someone would "enter" the game/discussion group with their own invincible character and all their unique ways of playing that would just kinda tick everyone off and we would all suddenly not want to play anymore. haha

Since I could not vote twice, I voted Florida. But, we may see a double hit. South Florida and then a southeast Louisiana hit like Betsy and Andrew.

I personally seriously doubt that Florida will take as many hits as it did last season, I just do not see a repeat (pattern wise) in the cards. I think most (if any hits) will be on the East Coast; Carolinas and North.

Yes! This is what I have been searching for! I really wanted to bump this topic. After all, 56% percent of our members voted Florida… they were correct.

Wow this thread was buried way down the pages that I couldn't find it as I was looking to bump it but thanks for bumping it for the members to see the interesting results of this poll. :)

2004: bonnie, charley, frances, ivan (hard impacts), jeanne
2005: arlene, dennis, katrina, wilma, rita (hard impacts)

No major hits on Tampa Bay, I've been really lucky these
past 2 years :D

officially Rita never hit Florida but it did cause impacts, Arlene and Dennis were right on the MS and FL Panhandle border

Katrina and Wilma were the worst hits for Florida and actually were hits.

actually arlene hit pensacola directly, and dennis hit just east of the greater pensacola area, so they were direct hits for florida, ivan hit gulf shores , but the eastern eye wall hit pensacola , and pensacola is in florida i assure you

and its the alabama florida border, mississppi does not touch florida

Well I got to see Frances's calm eye but that was when it had crossed
the state and weakened. Nevertheless, Frances and Jeanne's winds
ripped roof tiles off my home (I wasn't expecting that to happen in
weak Cat 1 gusts)...but the damage is nothing compared
to what Pensacola went through with Ivan/Dennis. So I wasn't
entirely unscathed, but Tampa Bay was much luckier.
Strange how statistics works. Some areas get hammered
much more than others...
