EeeeHaw! Y'all come now ya hear? Those courses should still be open when you come for your visit in October Karan, if not, there are 3 more courses in Snowflake and White Mountain Lakes that stay open year round, so bring your clubs!!

Well, it's 0610 MST, in another 50 minutes, the driving range opens and yup, you guessed it!!! Ya know, it's hard having 2 vices (well, maybe 4 "LOL!"), fishing and golf! I've been fishing since I was knee high to a grasshopper and yet, I don't think I've had the burning desire for fishing like I do for golf now! How I wished I would have started playing golf at an earlier age but like they say, "You CAN teach an old dog new tricks!"

You know what I love about golf? No matter how bad you suck at it, all it takes is one ripping shot soaring into the blue sky.... taking forever to finally begin its decent, to make up for every worm-burning, whiff, slice, hook, duff the rest of the round.

And...their is always the cart girl!

Now, Now j. But you are so right about that one beautiful shot that feels soooo good. When you knew on your backswing and then your follow thru - That wonderful ping sound as the clubhead and ball make contact. Oh man, I think I'll take off today. Nahhhhh it's gonna rain.

Dennis, I can't believe you're up this early to go to the driving range!!!! Don't just take you're driver. Practice with your 7, 8 and 9 irons. Remember the drive is only one shot. The win is in your short game.

Ok, as she steps down off that soapbox she gets her head out of the clouds and gets to work.

There's a saying about golf..."you drive for show and putt for dough!" A good friend of mine once told me on the course (I was having a BAD day off the tee) hit your 2 iron not the driver. I put my 2 iron out about 200 yds and straight as an arrow. I followed his advice on the back nine and shot 2 over par. (I was 14 over on the front nine) :-)

I only hit my 3 iron off the T....but have a terrible draw...too strong a right hand. I'm trying to work on it but bad golf habits are hard to break.

I've even used my 1 iron off the tee. But I agree wholeheartedly. Some people get so upset about a bad drive that it ruins every shot thereafter. By the way great round!!!!

Everytime I open my mouth about going to play golf...it rains. Just like clock work. I've told me wife a week in advance that I'm *thinking* about going on a certain day, and just my luck would be...that day comes and it pours. I should have said I was going out more last summer when we were in the drought cause for sure, it would have rained everyday. When I do get out on the course...I just have a great time. My cousin told me once, no matter what you shot on a hole, the next hole your score starts at zero and you work up again. Take it one hole at a time.

It will definitely take a bite out of your fishing time. I think Michelle would love it too.

I could probably buy that Hummer if I had all the $$$ I've spent on golf in the last six years. My wife is a true blue "golf widow"!! BTW Dennis, try the new Titleist DT SO/LO.....I love it!! They feel like a V-1 but only half the price!! :38:
