BOB was undergoing ET

When BOB made landfall at Block Island, the hurricane hunters could not find an actual Eye, because there was less than 50% of an eyewall.

Extratropical transition.

Or extracurricular transition, if you're talking about Irene from this year.

Speaking of Extratropical Storms, I don't think the perfect storm, was created with just GRACE and an unnamed Low Pressure system, Look at the maps for FABIAN, I think that its remnant Low, might have contributed.

Your opinions?

well what do you expect that waters off RI and the cape peak at 70 degrees at the height of the season... and the airmass to the northwest generally has some relatively cool continental characteristics.

hard to get a pure barotropic system in the northeast.
