Miss Mary wrote:Hey everyone - doing a quick pop in.....heading out of town for a few days, with my 4 sisters-in-law in my husband's family. For an annual pre-xmas shopping trip to downtown Chicago (one sister lives up there). We're going to see a play one night, take in the sights, have a few good meals and get items checked off our lists. My list is definitely in the early draft stage.......it's not even 50% complete. Some years I shop early, one year in February. This year I have only 3 items bought but I've been in no real hurry to get it going. So this weekend will get my arse in gear, so to speak.

Have a nice weekend and I'll check in Sunday or Monday.

That is great! Have a good time!

Hi everyone, I needed to come in from the cold.

Here let me start a pot of coffee just in case Streetsoldier stops by. I might get some too.

(Sniffs empty box of KK's and picks up a bit of chocolate with finger and put's it in mouth.)

It's good to hear about what's going on with everyone. It's hard to jump in the middle of a conversation, though. Sorry about your car Arkess. Enjoy the trip, Mary. (Salute's Pojo)

I'm kicking myself for missing the sight of Breeze chasing Crouton around.

I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving. We had a turkey breast for dinner. I told the kids that we're practicing for TXgiving.

I do not like this cold weather. Nope, not at all.

(fills up coffee cup and grabs another bit of chocolate)

I'll be back...

Stay warm, angelwing! Drop by when you can - the stove
is always warm and toasty!

Ed - glad you made it in from the cold! If Bill drops in,
he'll appreciate that pot of coffee. Yeah, Crouton gave me
a good run for my money - it's hard to bend down and
"shoo" the pig with my arthritis acting up, and, alas -
the pig won. David is still frowning about that, I think.
Maybe some good Stovian will pop in with more KK's,
later. I brought some fresh-baked cinnamon rolls by, in
the meantime...ya'll enjoy, and, stay warm by the fire,
tonight - brrrr! That cold front has definitely swept down
on us!

Mary - Chicago? Do pop by Gino's East and have some
pizza for me, eh? Have fun shopping 'til you're
dropping, dear!

Tomorrow's Friday.....YAAAAAYYY!!!

Cinnamon rolls? Now that sounds good! Thanks beeze! And better luck next time with Crouton, hes a fast little buger.
OMG he just snatched arkesses roll.............................come here you buger. "Crouton snorks and squealls and O Town makes the recovery"
Well I got your roll arkess, but its just a little roll now, and you may not want it anymore."O Town scolds Crouton and gives a smack on the snout."

Well I keep on waiting for this cold frount to arrive, and it just hasn't or has it? Can't tell, suppost to be here sometime today or tonight. I was just out hanging the garage sale signs and it didn't feel much different to me. Had on shorts t-shirt and flops and it felt great. I guess this one may just take the humidity edge off, no "real" cool down. Oh well! I love this weather right now.

Well Mary I hope you are having a blast. I haven't begun my list either. I really need to start. I usually have the kids one thing by now, and nothing, zero, zilch. Just being out with friends and eating a few good meals sounds good right about now. Enjoy!

Alright gonna have some of that coffee, the caffinated kind, got to have that boost. And my cinnamon roll, I will keep real close to myself, so lil' piggy don't snatch it. Alright off to bed, got to get up early and get everyone off to school and do the big yard sale with the folks. I will put a log on the fire on my way out. Have a great night all!!!! :D

Well time to pop in and sit by the PBS. I see some crumbs on the floor so Crouton must have been here not too long ago. I will grab some coffee if no one minds and start working on a crossword puzzle. :)

Darn piggy! (*adjusting my robe) Brunota brought some
muffins and KK's, too, so, let's enjoy, and, keep MOST of
them away from Crouton!

Enjoy that puzzle, Garrett - I'm gonna sit here under an
afghan in the rocker and read the latest "Southern Living"
magazine until I doze off by the fire....

That little piggy has sure gotten slick!!!! Did someone use vaseline on him? I think he practiced while we were out on the porch!!!!

Mary, sounds like fun!!! Sending traveling mercies your way.

Breeze, thanks for trying to corral that little buger Crouton. I do understand the arthritis acting up.

What cold front? Yeh, we had it come through too. Likely story!! It is supposed to get down into the 60's tonight. Big whoop!!!

That car stuff just plain sucjks Arkess. glad you can get it fixed, but it shouldn't even have to be done and especially not by you!!! Why can't we jsut teleport from place to place?

Hey, Garrett, that one at 7 down is piggy(like Crouton). Good luck with the rest of it.

I'll try and stop by tomorrow. Laters all!!

Yikes! all these goodies to be had. Thanx for the snax.
I'll have just one!

Yes Annette, I'm glad tomorrow is Friday, although I've been bringing work home almost every night this week, and will be working this weekend. (Need to take my son in for a crown - KA CHING!). Darn Dentists - it's cash on the barrelhead with these guys. At least they'll calculate what the insurance will pay and I only have to pay the uncovered portion up front. It's still going to be like $300 out of pocket. :(

Time to get some sleep as soon as I finish this cup of coffee.

Good morning everyone.

Thanks for the help on filling out the crossword David. :)

Well, don't work too hard Ed. Just tell your son the crown can wait! :A: (just kidding)

Well, it is off to another debate tournament today. At least this one is a little closer to home. Hopefully we will have more success.

Everyone have a good weekend...

Good morning all. Garrett, good luck with that debate. I know you'll do well.

arkess, I was once given sage advise by a very wise man - when you get a new car you should just take a sledge hammer to one of the bumpers on the very first day that you have it. Put a nice dent in it right off the bat and you won't feel so bad when someone else hits it!!!!!!lol I really am sorry about your car. The same thing happened to me several years ago. A woman backed right into my brand new Subaru. GRRRRRR
Actually, I felt sorry for her and it was an accident.

Wow, we have goodies all around and I brought some KK's. (The chocolate ones are for David, but it looks like Ed is going to grab one as soon as I open the box. I think I'll just have one of those yummy cinnamon rolls. DAVID, OH DAVID here they are.

OTown, you're probably out there selling all kind of stuff. I'll make you some nice iced tea.

Breeze, thanks for the info on the Earl Grey. That was really interesting.

Mary, have a great time. Is one of those Sisters in Law the one we talked about several years ago!!!!OMG, you're going to have some fun!!!!

Well, I'll throw a log of the fire and brew a pot of Earl Grey.

Have a great Friday

Hello,
Just checking in at lunchtime.

They say that the first ding on a new car is the most painful. Let's just say that my car is now pain free.

Thanks for the goodies, everyone. Karan, that's great that you brought in more. I thought I was going to have to do rock-paper-scissors with David for that last one. Now I'm not hungry for the left over pork chop I brought for lunch. (Crouton squeals like Arnold Ziffle at the mention of pork)

Yes, Garrett, good luck in the debate. That's getting to be a lost art. Do people ever use nonverbals like sighs, rolling eyes, etc in debates? I imagine that would be points off. I know lots of people who do that, and worse. ("We disagree with those morons over there......")

Well back to work...

LOL, could we put some pork chops around the food so he wont go near them??? Had to make more muffins and nog this morning because of him...(Crouton grabs the muffin pan and runs towards the couch, Timmy pursuits, "GET BACK HERE WITH MY FRESH MUFFINS YOU OVERSIZED PORKCHOP!!!" Crouton drops the pan and flees at the mention of porkchop, its ok, no muffins were harmed in the making of this chase...)

LOL, Timmy, I think you've all gotten the piggy's attention,
now...(well, even if only until the next dessert arrives!)
Thanks for the goodies!

My car is also like Ed's car - VERY pain-free at this point!
I keep a box of cat litter to throw down on the carport when
it springs a new leak, until my mechanic can fix it! The cat
litter absorbs the liquid, and, doesn't ruin the concrete.

Thanks for the tea, AND for throwing that log on
the fire, Karan - I am unusually chilly, tonight,
and, that Earl Grey and the fire just warms me right up!

Hope the debate went well, Garrett!

I'll bet Mary's having a big 'ole time, right now - bet she's
already finished her Christmas shopping. LOL, David, you're
right - shouldn't ask her to party for some of us -
we don't wanna be asking members to donate to help
post Mary's BAIL! :A:

Have a fantastic Friday night, everyone!
