WHAT?? No Super Wal-Mart?????????
Sorry to hear that you are in pain Josh, but like has been said b4 there are many way to get relief! My prayers are with you!
Iso, the only advice that I can give about raising a teen-ager is this;
Always remember that times are different and people are different than when we grew up.
God will get you and your teen through this if you ask Him
Teens are just trying to find their way.
It's only illegal to beat them senseless if you get caught! So, don't leave marks.
j/k
It is a tough time but I made it and so can you!! Trust me!!

Good afternoon to all on the porch this afternoon! It's nice outside today in northern KY, temps in the 60's athough it is mostly cloudy...
Well, not much going on. I am bored.
Josh, I'd fake it! LOL!
GulfBreezer, congrats to your grad. I'll be doing that walk next May!
Isobar, I'm a teen and the best advice I can give is watch them around their younger siblings. Trust me, I know this.

Second Generation Met
My son who graduated from the UofA with a BS in Atmospheric Sciences last weekend, has decisions to make now. He took the fast track and completed his course work in 3 years with a Minor in Math-it helpsed that he got 30 semester hours of College courses under his belt while in High School. His Undergrad Research advisor reviewed his research paper with him earlier this week (the subject was the Mexican Monsoon [or SW US Monsoon] and severe weather) and suggested that he go either for Grad School or try to get in with the North American Monsoon Experiment (NAME). At any rate, he is now deciding what to do now. He is leaning towards Grad School in order to continue his research on the dynamics and morphology of severe weather events during the monsoon but we shall see what happens.

Steve, that's awesome news! Meteorology is no walk in the park...he definitely earned that Bachelors!
Josh, What worked, the warm bathtub or the heating pads??? You don't have a Super Wal-Mart by you? Goodness, we have 2, in Appleton alone (and 2 in Green Bay)...and the 3rd on in Neenah... the 3rd one is currently in the planning process...building should start pretty soon. Maybe, I should send one over your way. Yes, all of the Wal-Mart stores are 24 hour.

What a difference 350 miles makes! Sitting in the 60's just after sunset here tonight. Maybe 78 for a high. 100+ in Phoenix.
Congratulations Steve and your son! Both my boys chose different careers than meteorology, but they can name a lot of clouds just the same! It must be gratifying for you to have seen that interest develop and prosper. He'll follow his own interests, I'm sure, and it will take him to great opportunities. Congrats again!
Glad you are feeling better Josh. No sciatica problem here, but the old back is barkin' a little after Emma and I had an adverturous day. We survived it fine. Tomorrow we may try the beach...depending on the sunshine and crowds.
Have a nice Saturday all....and continue your prayers for Raine's son Dakota.

Hello folks,
Sorry I have not been posting much. I have a lot on my plate right now, and have been fighting just to get 5 minutes to myself
We have been back and forth to lawyers offices, STILL trying to get our visa application in order, everytime we think all is in order they find some new problem. I dont know how much more of this I can take, it is driving me totally insane, not to mention draining the funds
I have decided to enter the Green card lottery at the end of July if we get our extension.. Just think if we win I will NEVER have to worry about a visa again
Congrats on your son Steve!!
AZ-Steve glad to hear you and Emma had a good time
MF.. it is great here today as well, btw how much rain did ya get? We really really needed that rain and it is nice to walk on the grass without the crunching underfoot
Have a great long weekend all

Bron, sorry to hear about your situation. I am sure I am not the only one noticing that you must be busy. I continue to hope for the best for you and your family.
The frontal system hasn't quite passed by central Florida yet... there was a rumble of thunder here in the last half hour or so.
I am going to the "Golden Corral" in Leesburg, FL for dinner with my parents and neighbor's across the street. I will be leaving in about 1 1/2 hours. It has been there since before I moved here, but I have never been to it. They don't exist in Massachusetts.
Make it a great rest of the day!

Howdy everyone! We came back from the lake early to help my aunt out. She has so much to do and to take care of. I do have some time now to post though, which is good news.
Bronwyn... I feel so bad about all you have to go through. I hope things work out. I am pulling for you and I know I am not the only one!
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!
