Rare Weather Event In Oklahoma

#1 Postby Nalora » Wed May 21, 2003 8:30 am

Well, this is rare. Gentle cool rain is falling in Central Oklahoma. I love it. I envy those folks who just get a day of rainy weather and today it is coming down on me. It just does not happen much here in Oklahoma. Most of the time the rain comes in screaming with thunder, lightning, hail and tornadoes and most of it washes off the red clay soil and into the creeks and rivers before it has time to soak in.

I was kinda hoping I would wake up to be able to scream with delight at Houston getting some wet stuff, but alas.....they are still dry as a bone it seems down there.

But....God loves us here in Oklahoma. We have rain and I am not a slave to the garden hose today at least.

LOL Nalora. It's a nice change, isn't it? I wonder if the people in the NW and NE would disagree though.
You're right, it would be nice if some of our friends in the south and west could have some too.

Yeah, Houston needs what you're getting, can you send it down there, and a little piece here before Monday?
