Stupid stuff schools in your area have done...

#1 Postby brunota2003 » Tue Nov 15, 2005 6:45 pm

Ok, I'll start, the schools here have banned scissors, even the safety scissors, so I think they should ban desks, pens, pencils, paper, books, bookbags, everything that people could use to hurt someone... Schools are getting sadder and sadder... My mom used to be able to bring a gun to school and leave it in the truck so she could go hunting after scholl, from what I've heard, everyone at her school used to do it... Now if you even bring a fake gun that only resembles one, such as a cap gun, you could be shot by the School Resource Officier or go to jail for a long time for posision of a firearm, please  ...

One of the most stupid things that they have banned is paddling a student when the student is clearly out of control as my grandson was on Mon the 14th. He was on a In school suspension and was so unruly that the principal is ready to kick him out of the school permanently and he is only in Kindergarden.

You should try the "no-touch" rule in our school district; eminently unenforceable (especially with high-school girls and guys), yet it's on the books.

I think the stupidest thing my High School ever done was keeping the entire school under lock down during a power failure, even if some of the Students have to leave early to get to work in the afternoon. If it's a stormy night or a burglar, then I'll uinderstand.

With todays youths propensity for violence authorities must do whatever is needed to keep schools safe, no matter how silly the rules might seem. Id rather see a bunch of "silly" rules than a bunch of dead kids.

"The true warrior uses whatever weapons are at hand". Ever thought of your telephone? A comb? One of those ID cards??? ALL can be weapons!

Folks, I'll say it ONE more time...if someone REALLY wants to kill you, NOTHING will stop him/her/them.

Bill I agree. But lets not make it any easier by allowing weapons or potential weapons in schools.

Ok, a pencil, i could just as easily stab someone with a pencil or plastic fork as i can with a pair of scissors, or hit someone upside the head with a chair...

Your pencil would be more effective if the "eraser" end were used, full force employing an ice-pick grip, on the temple of the intended target.

See what I mean? :larrow:
