#1 Postby carve » Wed Nov 16, 2005 2:20 pm

We here in ohio have experienced a 30 degree drop in temp from yesterday!!!! It is cold and windy and spitting snow.I don't know how accurate accuweather is...But..they say the east will be cold and snowy and or icy in there 90 day outlook for the east..Any comments on this..i am always skeptical when they say cold and snowy..I love snow so i hope we are in for somthing good.

Yup, yesterday at 2:00 PM, it was 82 degrees here. Then the thunderboomers and cold front rushed in. But 7:00 AM today, it was 51.

Nice to not be sweating anymore. 'Bout time fall got here!

The Capitol of Texas reporting in with a low of 30 degrees at my house in north Austin. The airport hit 26 degrees but the ASOS there is located in a "valley" and is always colder than the rest of the area.

Yep, it got quite chilly here, Duckie. And it is supposed to be colder tonight. But it does feel nice.

Here in the U.K we too are gonig through a fairly sustained througha fairly sustaineed cold spell, currently temps are expected to drop to a min 19F which for the time of year is very cold here with a widespread frost and ice up of lakes.

Here expecting it to get down to 27F but I think it may get a little lower then that here.

Not sure what the offical temp at D/FW Airport read, but I know that most places in the outer areas where in the mid 20's.

It was soooo great last night to have a fire in the fireplace last night. Was cold enough for it. Probably will be cold enough for it tonight as well. Now, if it will only snow.

Any bets on it happening for us this year?

Snow? Shoot, it hasn't rained in forever. I wouldn't be surprised if the next time some dihydrogen monoxide fell from the sky, it was some form of frozen.

No bets from me! I've seen too many close calls and near misses here.

Ice storm is a more likely bet. Won't be surprised to see that happen at least once this winter.

Well we missed out on any frozen precip last year. I am just hoping for a few days off work, to sit in front of the fireplace and relax. Is that too much to ask for in Central Texas???
