Bree and Susan have reversed roles, is what I think has happened. Or there are new DH writers and they need reading glasses or something! Bree's in control, Susan's dinghy! Come on, straighten this out. Bree wouldn't trust George so much and wouldn't be rude to his former g/f either. Glad she ended it though, but he is even creepier now.

Question - did anyone else think that Morty was going to be Susan's father? I did, for about 5 minutes. Then he ends up being the guy/actor from so many movies, right away the Superman movies came to mind. Couldn't they come up someone better! He's played such nut-jobs in the past.....oh well. That speech her mother gave at her own wedding, to boot, too much. Again, this would not happen in real life. I tend to watch this show, wondering what odd-ball scene will happen next.

Lynnette's ploy to teach her boys and Tom a lesson - good one. Until the neighbor - aka, Gladys Kravitz - lady zapped him. Poor guy! Does she walk around with it in her pocket or what? LOL

Amy - seems last night's ep struck a personal nerve with you. I'm so sorry to read what you posted. Stay on top of that situation, but I know you will. I saw an interview with the host of America's Most Wanted, last name Walsh. He is pushing for a national registry for convicted but released sex offenders. There's a bill on the Senate floor that has yet to be passed. He wants concerned US citizens to write their Senators and demand this bill be approved. You could look into it. He said that way, at least we could track them better, keep them away from kids, etc. He's been such an advocate for children's rights (after so tragically losing his son to a mollester).

Mary

PS - edit, I'm mixing up Paul Dooley with another actor. But he sure has had a very successful career. I recognized him immediately. Scanning down the list of his many movies and TV appearances, he's been all over the place. He was the dad in Sixteen Candles, for example. Guested on ER too. But I didn't see Superman listed.....

For a second... but then when he said KOREAN War, I knew he wasn't. Susan's not that old. :P

LOL @ Brent!!!! You are too funny and of course, absolutely correct!!! :-)

I've just learned that with DH and with Lost as well, fans shouldn't trust the obvious. Just when you think you have it all figured out, they throw a curve ball at you. Or an odd ball (George)....loved it when his ex called him a whack job.

From Kristin at E! Online...

I didn't really like how Desperate Housewives just all of a sudden said that Gabrielle had miscarried. It was weird. Any future scoop on the show? Does George go even more psycho?
Better yet, George just goes!

Oh WOW... GD, your going to want to sit down for this and not have any sharp objects nearby.

http://www.getdesperate.com/news/231105_01.shtml

It's just rumors though...

Also:

Back in September, Marc Cherry told USA TODAY that there would be a death in the show within the first 13 episodes of the season. However with episode 8 having been show, that would mean the death would have to occur within the next five episodes—or could refer to Gabrielle's unborn baby.

I think it's George... and is going to occur at the end of Sunday's episode(hence "the last 5 minutes" deal). Bree has no plotlines with him in any episodes after that...

In case anyone forgets, there's a new DH episode tonight. To get you psyched up for it, read on:

TV Guide

http://www.tvguide.com/TV/HotList/

Desperate Housewives[New]
9 pm/ET, ABC
Since DH's Bree has finally come to her senses and dumped George, we can confidently expect him not to be on his best behavior tonight, so Bree had better watch her back. Meanwhile, Susan meets her father (Paul Dooley), Carlos gets out of jail with a glow that can only be described as beatific (yes, he has found religion), and Caleb's heading for the slammer. Whether that's better for him than the Applewhite basement remains to be seen, but at least it promises a more prominent Applewhite story line, and more screen time for Alfre Woodard. — Paul Droesch

:woo:

I have bad news though...

After next Sunday, DH will either be in repeats(December 18th and 25th) or not on(December 11th against Survivor) until January... January 1st will either be a repeat or a pre-emption too, so January 8th is the earliest it can be back. That's FIVE weeks.

Well... I have tried and failed to find out the big shocker in the last 5 minutes. I have some theories, but nothing confirmed.

I do think George will be gone though, it may not be the shocker this week, but soon.

I checked and Lost, Commander-in-Chief, Grey's Anatomy, and DH all have long breaks in December. In the case of Lost and Commander-in-Chief their last episode until January is this week. DH has a new episode next Sunday and then goes on a break. Grey's Anatomy is also new on the 11th and then goes on a break.

Gosh I long for the days when the regular season started in september and new episodes ran every week with the only repeats being on holiday nights. Then you got to watch them all again in the spring thru summer. This start, stop, start, stop thing now has me missing episodes. :grrr: ok..vent over!!
