I want Snow For Christmas
Of course I know that the likely hood of that happening down south is very slim but it would be nice.

In some areas of Fairhope it snowed while other areas it was more a sleet/ice mixture. My mom's house it was the sleet/ice mix (which is close to Mobile Bay) but out at my aunt's house they had snow.

I feel for ya'll. I drove though the most beautiful snow band on the way to visit my Mom near Hammond, La. last Christmas Day. Over on the gulf coast earlier in the day we had some sleet but it quit just before we left. It started to snow as we reached Slidell and by the time we got to the Lacomb exit I thought we had been magically transported up north somewhere. I'm nearly 50 and this was my first white Christmas.....MGC

I know how you all feel! We were pretty green in Watertown last Christmas Eve, and a LES band that set up off of Lake Ontario was forecast to miss us. Well, that forecast changed the day of Christmas Eve and that night we got dumped on. Heavy snow for several hours, ended up with around 8" of new snow on Christmas morning.
Just goes to show that you never know what can happen!

We did two years ago, and it was great. The snow startiing falling Christmas eve. By Christmas, the snow was mixing with rain a bit occasionally, but it was white outside. I hope I get a white Christmas this year.

Those praying for a White Christmas might get your wish... watch what you wish for...
I'm over in Qatar and there is ABSOLUTELY no chance of a white Christmas... heck, low temps barely hit 50* (during the winter, rainy season).
I've already seen pictures of the Wis snow dump... gorgeous... It would be nice to see a color other than brown/gray/beige.

I hope it snows again too. We got a Christmas miracle last year. I live right in the middle of Houma and Thibodaux. Thibodaux just to my north and Houma just to my south. It sleeted all night for Christmas Eve. We got back from midnight mass and we could hear it hitting our windows. Woke up Christmas morning, more sleet. I started getting all excited when I heard that it was snowing in Morgan City! Morgan City is only 25 miles to our due west. But, yet, it felt like it was never going to get here. We left to go to my grandpa's house in Thibodaux for Christmas lunch. We left shortly before noon. We sat down, said grace out loud, and started to eat our meal. Then, as soon as I took my first bite of food, I heard my cousin's husband screeching outside. It is snowing!!!!!!! I was so happy and excited, I nearly cried. Sometimes it came down heavily too. It snowed most of the afternoon. Stop, sleet, then snow again. We did not get much accumalation on the ground at my grandpa's. But, we had a few snowball fights. It was so nice to see all my little cousins in love with it. They had never seen snow before. When we got home around 6 that evening, it was still snowing lightly. And we had way more than my grandpa had! And we only live about 8 miles away from him! The snow was over an inch in accumalation. It went just above my ankels. It may not be nothing impressive for you people up north. But, it was a dream come true for us cajuns! White Christmas on the Bayou. Whoever would of thought? I am hoping it happens again this year even though our chances are extremly slim.
