The FHU mesonet is showing gusts to 48 mph today and we are expecting lows in the low to mid 20's down here Monday morning with possible teens by the river. The dewpoints are going to be very low so nighttim cool will be extreme under light winds.

We are getting a nighttime howler in the SV area tonight as we continue to get a strong downslope component off the mountains. Peak wind gusta I have seen have been in the 56 mph range and there has been some slight wind damage along with power glitches. Travel on local roads and highways is not very pleasant due to strong crosswinds. Would not be surprised to hear about damage and gusts well over 60 mph from the local wind prone areas.

Hey Dennis...still windy down here in the Valley all night long too. Not anything like you are having, but windy nonetheless. We will see temps in the 30s Monday morning for the first time this season.

Hey Steve (Azskyman)....I BET it was WINDY than the devil down yonder, it sure WAS up here!! Had a peak gust OVER 43 MPH around 1400 hrs. now combine those winds with a HIGH temp of 27 here at the house I spent the day in "Santas Workshop" with my Carhardt bibs on, gloves, knit hat AND long johns with a FIRE in the woodstove in the shop and I STILL froze my big ol' butt off

About an hour ago it was 14F with a dewpoint of -4F with calm winds at the Grand Canyon. We are right around the freezing mark but with the wind still blowing some and dewpoitns below zero so we will get really cold once the winds stop after midnight.

Grand Canyon has gotten down to 6F. The winds haven't dropped all of the way off which is keeping temperatures up here at the house but down along the river temperatures are in the 16-20F range right now.

I got down to 39.9 here at my place last night, actually had to put the heater on.

Wind stayed up here in SV so we never got below 29F which was warmer than Tucson's 28F. Douglas had 19F and it got down into the teens along the river 9 miles east of SV. Grand Canyon hit -1F this morning.

Had a low of 36 at my house in NE Phoenix this morning Dennis. Winds are finally gone. Air is very dry. Expect 30's again tomorrow morning.

*Offical* low for Pinetop 2 nights in a row now...........6°
the HIGH day before was 25°, yesterday 31°, today 42°!!

The WINDS yesterday and Saturday were UNGODLY, BITTERLY COLD.......I NEVER went outside Saturday (well, for a smoke I did but I NEVER finished a whole cigarette that day!)
