what would you do?
My mom ordered a sheet for her bed at an online store for about $100 and they shipped us about $600 to $700 worth of pots and pans. The receipt thats in the box says that enclosed should be a sheet, yet in the box theres 8 pots and pans and no sheet to be found. Would it be a good idea to just keep the stuff or should we return it?

Sounds like a plan to me... however wrong it may be.

Just think, someone else opened up their package(or will soon) and finds a $100 sheet instead of $600 worth the pots and pans.

Aw, crap! I HATE these kind of questions! 'Ya gotta call
the company and say, "Hey - how are my kinfolks supposed
to SLEEP on these pots and pans? They don't even fit the
mattress? They roll and bang and make noises - I think a
SHEET would probably serve the purpose better...OH, WAIT!
That's what she ordered, originally...."
Go get 'em, hack!

I don't know what I'd do....but I can't quite forget one minor detail! I've never spent $100 on one sheet before! Now I know they exist, I've watched enough makeovers on HGTV but the most I've spent is probably $20 a sheet (we used king sized flat sheets, tucked in on our water bed and they are hard to find, not in a complete set).
I guess I'd have to fess up, when it comes right down to it. If I kept the pan set, each time I'd cook with it, I'd remember how they were shipped accidentally - free.
If the company says keep them, then keep 'em - definitely!

I was faced with a similar dilemma back in DEC 99; I ordered an East German fur cap (like a Russian ushanka, but grey and pile-lined.
Instead, I received a beautiful red/black full-coverage motorcycle helmet worth ten times as much.
I called the customer service number, told the operator what happened, and was sent what I ordered overnight with a prepaid "Ship To" label for the first item's box.
And, somewhere in these United States, a motorcyclist got what he/she wanted.
Yes, HONESTY is the best policy; in keeping the pans, a pall of guilt and regret will hang over every meal you cook. And you don't really want that.

I heartily agree. I wouldn't even have to stop and think about it, I would have called the company right away. I would not be willing to pay the shipping to send them back, but I am sure the company would issue a pick up for them if they are worth that much money.
When you get up in the morning and look in the mirror, you have to be able to like the person you see. Honesty is the only way.
