Finally getting a day off my regular weather job...What did I do? I spent that off time updating my weather discussion. I guess the weather never gets a day off...
It's a very complicated pattern with some great potential. I spent a lot of time trying to pick apart solutions and I think I came up some good ideas. The jist of it all is that there just may be some validity to even the UKMET solution. The only issue I have with the UKMET is it weakens the northern stream energy too much and puts too much weigh on the southern stream. Thus you get a far south, slower, MECS. I would argue that it is too slow and too far south but perhaps not by much... read my thoughts below.

Hey Jeff, Would you darew take a stab at the weather pattern for the first and second week of January for the northeast. I'm traveling from Florida to Vermont to Smugglers notch at that time. I'm praying they don't have much of a Jaunuary thaw in the Green Mountains. ANy input would be helpful. Snow would be more helpful, thanks.
