How often do you BBQ?
With the Memorial Day weekend here, I've seen a LOT of ppl at the store buying stks, ribs, corn etc, just curious, how much do you BBQ? Me.....this time of year, 7 days a week, it's too warm to heat up the house! I've been known to BBQ in a BLIZZARD :o Ain't nuthin' better than a GOOD stk and shrimp on the BBQ, in fact, tonight's menu, filet mignon with a 12 oz lobster tail. One of the stores on the mountain has a HUGE, HUGE seafood sale once a month, just so happened the weekend they do it feel on this weekend
A 12 oz lobster tail for $4.99 :o :o :o I mean, heck at THAT price, I could eat lobster EVERYDAY, "NOT!"

I hardly ever BBQ. In the summer it's too dang hot
on the patio. You have to run outside turn it,run inside cool off. Plus the time running to check on it.
Now if I had a tree that didn't supply it's own
bunker busters (mangos) that would be a different story. I mean these are BIG mangos.

We almost never grill out. My neighbors on the other hand, grill out in all seasons. Even the middle of a snowstorm. That's something I should have had a picture of, wind whipping up, snow blowing and the guy next door is grilling out. Barefoot too.......
I would like to grill out more but since I 99.9% of the time do the cooking, I feel like the least my husband can do is fire up the grill......we do have a new one. So this summer we should really use it more.
I prefer grilled veggies more than meats. If we're talking cuisine.....

Tonights menu, BBQ burgers w/ a HUGE slice of red onion, mater, pickles, Freedom Fries and corn on the cob!
Miss Mary, I too, BBQ in the winter, I've had neighbors call to see if I was O'tay, I mean, I'm out there with my parka and gloves flippin' burgers with one hand and a cold beer in the other!

Dennis, at least you're dressed for wx like that. My wacky next door neighbor, who's winter thermostat is set on 78 probably (his wife hates OH winters), runs out barefoot, t-shirt, jeans, no coat/gloves/hat. He is quite the sight. A local news channel asked viewers to take winter pics of our ice storm last year since they couldn't get road crews out. I was sorely tempted to take this guy's pic, but you see we're on cordial terms with them. Not extremely great terms, long story, they are very picky neighbors so I keep my distance. And fix the mulch in their yard my dog digs in twice a year for fear they'll complain once again, and I have to get in her in if she barks longer than 5 minutes. And get this, they have a dog too. So you see had I taken the picture, he would have likely complained about that......I do my best not to look over there. But it is hard to do when in the midst of an ice storm, you see this guy grilling out barefoot!

LOL OHD...
Well we normally BBQ (good ol charcoal for me) every Saturday night.. We light the citronella torches, and burn the mosquito coils. Break out some ice cold beer and hang out till the meats done. If the Skeeters arent too bad we eat outside to.
Dennis my husband is like you and will BBQ in any weather, we went camping in the snow, and there he was outside flipping the steak
I have a really funny picture of him standing over the fire on another camping trip holding an umbrella over the fire because it was raining buckets.
I think he nearly died of smoke inhalation, but the meat tasted really really good!
