If you get excited over everything the GFS shows, your going to be disappointed a lot.

That'll include both the early and late week storm, though. So probably a small amount will melt off during the cold, sunny midweek period.

Truballer, I noticed you got your map from Coolwx.com. I have been following this storm on that site, and like the graphics, as these are not given by the NCEP itself. However, it leaves much to be desired. I get a lot of "Entire grid Undefined"'s and old maps. This morning I tried to get the latest 06Z (2005 Dec 4), and instead I got 06Z for December 3.

Do you know of another site where these maps can be found?

I checked your site out, Fasteddy. It is good for the NAM - gives exactly the same type of map, under NAM and under "Snow, Rain, Ice Pellets, and Freezing Rain". But when I try to look that up under GFS, I get blanks instead. Do you know of any others besides Truballer's and Fasteddy's?
