Well it is just an Idea at this phase. I don't have all the engineering facts yet just some principles to go by with a lot of variables. If thoughtfully engineered my guess it should work.

Wait...on another forum...you said you had a copy of the basics "in the safety deposit box at the local bank."

Which I found very odd.

And how is this idea coming?

"Hey,It took me weeks to think of this Idea.People are so sensitve when Ideas of weather modification come up.But we fail to realize that we are already modifying the weather with modern technology.I also came up with another neat idea using a solar sheild in geo.orbit to block the sunlight from hitting the ocean thus cooling the storm further."

Oh! that one is for later.

The principles work.

How many years ago did you begin speaking to Hugh Willoughby about this?...and BTW...HRD is not NHC.

No they don't...and your right...it won't hurt your feelings. You've been all over the net with your proposals and have been given very sound scientific data...very sound engineering data...and some good common sense advice. You still don't get it.

So...how are you going to float 70+ million pounds hundreds or a thousand feet above the ocean floor?

I love it AFM. You keep coming for more information which means I have now captured your interest in the Idea.
Lets see:
Fish are neutrally bouyant. Lets pump air in a bladder made for the tunnel to keep it neutrally bouyant.

BTW that is why I contacted HRD instead of NHC. Sorry I had that part wrong.

Yeah...except it doesn't work that way. You would only cool the ocean...not the storm...and then you would really mess up the earth....which seems to be your plan.

Not quite AFM. I think we are doing that now with global warming.

No...actually...and people who have PMed me can testify...I am having a tremendous laugh at your expense...because now that you have provided me with an email...and assuming it was not forged...you are an incredibly sad individual and I enjoying this exchange because it is the easiest time I have had making someone look less than steller in a long time. I also believe, but am hesitant to speak for others, that most who have entertained debate with you on this and other forums (the two others I have seen) have also shared in this somewhat devious motive. It's not everyday that something comes this easy.

Sorry....it is not out of interest I have kept this debate going.

Prove it. Prove global warming is man made.

You can't

600,000 years ago a large sheet of methane ice broke free off of Scotland and the Global temps rose 10C in 5 years.

Climate changes. Prove the current climate change is entirely man-made.

Don't worry AFM. When the tunnels are built I'll give you a job on one of them. How about control room operator or shift foreman or something like that.

Ohhh...I think I'll have to worry about any of your ideas coming to pass...and deep down, I think you know it too. You can't even get your ideas past a bunch of guys in a forum...what do you think will happen when you take it to a bunch of engineers.

Ahhh, and there again is the idea that's free. Take it to a senior engineering student looking for a project and get them to do it. See what will happen. You'll be amazed.

Aren't you two through yet?

Thought this was a pretty good thread (so was the other, oh the other was, too.

Now it's just a (changed by me) contest.

Lots of time invested here. Been up all night and day. Anyone else want to chime in?

No. We're bored now. You can go. *waves goodbye*

I've taken more than a few engineering classes and even roughly crunching some numbers in mild amusement quickly disproved the tunnel theory. Now I'm bored. The numbers were so off I couldn't even refine it further to play "what if" with.

I'm stopping. It's bedtime. Everybody loves Raymond is on and there are bouyant fish in the Gulfstream missing their bladders. :D
