:wall:

Yet using the point forecast, Cartersville, the county seat, in the middle of the county, has this:

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of rain and snow after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: Rain likely, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high around 46. East wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday Night: Rain likely, mixing with freezing rain after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. North wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Still... the Wednesday Night deal presumes there will even be precip then, and the chance is only 20%. Note the rain on Thursday doesn't start til after 1pm. It makes no sense... though, the rain likely won't start til afternoon, which is why I say, nothing frozen, except perhaps as it ends(freezing rain), and I really think the moisture will be gone.

See now why I haven't thrown in the towel completely? I'm not crazy....just confused by our NWS and all the conflicting info from the models. :D

We're grasping at straws honestly... the precip isn't going to be here when that rain/snow mix has a 20% chance of happening(LOL).

I'm way south of Atlanta anyway... so I won't even see this borderline junk.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. East wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Thursday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high around 50. East wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. North wind between 5 and 10 mph.

What's frustrating to me is that I live within an hour's drive of that invisible fence we talked about. Right on the borderline....so just a bit north of me could get snow/sleet/etc, and I'll just get a cold, cold, yucky rain.

OR...

The mets predict just a cold cold yucky rain for us, and lo-and-behold favorable conditions move far enough south that the fence is below me.

AND....there's really no way to know for sure--in advance--whether or not that will happen.

Which just leaves me in a perpetual state of hopefulness....or despair.

I've seen it too many times... the worst is it being 33 and raining.

My temperatures has stopped at 30.4... so the clouds are here.

Well I can assure you it will not rain, sleet, or snow tomorrow. :P That explains why I do not get my weather from TWC anymore.

Edit: They do mean Thursday... as in tomorrow, someone just got the day of the week wrong:

See it has

Today:
Partly cloudy skies. High 51F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph.

I rarely consult TWC. BUT....since they *are* right here in town, I figure they might know what they're talking about for our weather occasionally, so I figured why not check. ;) :D

Not me. I have two kids I have to get up at 6 am and have ready for school by 7:15. Once they're dropped off at school, I'm up. No going back to sleep for me.

What are you still doing up? That is not healthy...

If I don't get at least 6 1/2 hours of sleep the day just does not go well at all.
