Yeah... you say you've got a bomb on a plane, and then start running away from the Air Marshalls, and you deserve whatever they do.

and I completely agree with you... I'm a big cable news watcher, but at 4pm I watched something else for the hour(only checking the news during the commericals) and absolutely nothing new was learned.

So, you mean that you dislike groups that help those with ALL mental disabilities (including people with disabilities that are not as severe as the person who claimed to have a bomb did have)? If so, that is heartless.

Wow, way to completely twist my words into something I never said or even implied for that matter. :grr:

No, I wholeheartedly support groups that help the mentally disabled. I would not support a group that falls in that category who would use the incident today and the man's mental status to vilify the air marshal who shot the man, or the procedures in place that resulted in today's outcome...and I'm cynical enough to believe just such a group is out there.

Clearly, the guy was a nice man (from everything his friends, neighbors, and relatives say). I am very sorry his illness caused him to put himself and others in such a situation; but unfortunately, the air marshal did what he had to do based on the circumstances.

(fwiw, I volunteer with the Special Olympics when I can.)

Ditto. It is a very sad ending to the situation, but I think that the Marshall followed standard operating procedure with this situation. It could've been hundreds dead if it was the real thing.

Agreed its very sad but I feel the marshall had no choice in the matter. He gave them man an order to get on the ground and he failed to comply.
