OK,so I have been reading alot lately about a large area of very cold air coming down from Canada between the 15th-20th. Well, TWC's forecast for Greenville,NC shows highs the next 10 days around 55-64 degrees. I am confused about whether we will have cold air here for Christmas or not. How come TWC hasn't showed any signs of the cold air coming here?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here's the extended forcast from the Climate Prediction Center. According to them, it looks like the east might be in for a moderating trend. The brunt of the cold will be in the central part of the country and the rockies.
