GFS has something there...

heck its the long range GFS but its still fun to monitor... maybe we will get something...

Also is back to showing a FLOOD of cold air over the Eastern U.S. just before that.

the GFS 12z run today now has a storm passing to our east on the 23rd and then a nor easter slamming us on Christmas Day.

I was thinking today.... when you watch Christmas movies, the kids go to bed. They wake up and its always snowing or theres a fresh covering of snow. I would like to see that when I get up this Christmas. A nice storm moving in and dumping snow!

Yeah, funny how in the movies they never wake up complaining because the GFS busted big time! lol

If you think about it, we might average a storm every 3 days (dusting or 36" they're both storms) so techniquely average a 33% chance of a storm on Christmas. then factor in temperature... well it matters where you live but say where I live (Keene, NH) temps on average would support snow but you never know so Id drop my chances of seeing snow on Christmas to 25% to 30%...
