Even though I dont drink coffee...I could probably start after seeing all the crap flying around these past few hours. Its almost becoming a circus! I'm laughing so hard you have no idea! lol I better grab a donut and a hot tea and get back to the replies and scanning some other boards for people comitting acts of treason..lol

Good evening Fellow Stovians!
Joshua - it's great to see you...DUCK!!! :o Streetsoldier is running with knives again! :knight:
Anyway, everyone seems to be doing well. Dennis! I'm so glad to see you back! Crouton, Slowpoke and Clarabelle missing you too!
I started a topic of the "Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show". It's on right now and the "Working" breed dogs are on. That includes Great Dane, Doberman Pinscher, Alaskan Malmuts, etc. I love watching this show!
The storm we had today was pretty much a non-event. No accumulation, though the flakes were flying (snow flakes that is!).
Hellos to everyone! Have a wonderful evening!

Goodnight everyone! I've had a looooong and tiring day...as well as a mixed emotions one as well. While I was riding high on all of the TWC vs Storm2k 15 round heavyweight divisional champoinship....Storm2k wins with a TKO in the 3rd round! Again, I was really laughing and having fun with all who collaborated throughout the day and then it all came to an abrupt end and some shellshock and afterthoughts now are surfacing as well. Hard to just end something cold turkey like people say and want when you've been a part of something else for so long for. Its like taking your kid away and your sails are flat from no wind...no motivation. While it IS time to get going with this, and wrap it up, it'll truly never go away. The people here are testimony to that. With that I hope there is peace and tranquility and that all of this is finally over. We'll see. Take care and God Bless.

Evening everyone! Guess I missed out on a lot. That is okay, I like peace and tranquility!
Nice to see you posting again Dennis!
Lots of sunshine here today and the roads weren't so bad.
Cooling off quite nicely this evening.

No snow here...just cold weather. We had about an 1" this morning...just enough to cover the driveways and sidewalks...It was a little slick when walking to class today, but that was because of the snow on top of the ice. I throw another log on the fire.
Currently +3* with wc reading +2*.
Winds are surprisingly CALM! :o :o
But that doesn't tell the whole story...there isn't a cloud in the sky! Dew points are in the teens to single digits BELOW zero! :o :o
Hey Josh, Dennis and M2 (and anyone else from the Southwest) look what I found on my Weather Bug...
Southwest U.S. Prepares for Big Changes
February 10, 2003 3:00PM EST
It has been more than a month since rain fell in any appreciable amounts around Los Angeles and worries about a worsening drought have become real concerns.
The "rainy" season in the southwestern U.S. states of California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona has been more similar to the parched summer months. Rainfall totals are a fraction of normal and water reserves in snow pack and reservoirs are dwindling fast.
After a great start to the water year in November and December, western agencies were highly optimistic about the coming snow and reservoir reserves. An El Nino forecast was for more storms to plow into the west and increase snow pack and runoff.
This all came to an abrupt end near the end of December and storms spreading any appreciable rain into the southwest have been few and far between.
Luckily, signal of a changing pattern began to show last week. Signs have continued that a more active southern branch of the jet stream would break through a strong ridge of high pressure that has been anchored over the western states.
More significantly, behind this storm as it moves out into the Atlantic, another push of cold arctic air will flow into the Great Lakes, Northeast and mid-Atlantic today and tomorrow with a reinforcing surge close behind on Wednesday.
This change will allow a series of fairly slow moving storms to spread moisture into the parched states of the southwest over the next couple of weeks.
The first storm will begin to spread rain into coastal California late Tuesday and Wednesday and due to the slow movement, a chance of rainfall will be in the forecast for much of the week.
This storm will spread rain into much of California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona by late Thursday and into Friday.
Another storm is poised way out in the Pacific to take the place of the one currently offshore. The next storm is timed to move in late next weekend and the first part of the following week.
I thought it might be of interest!
Anyways, just trying to relax from a LONG and BORING day of classes!

Hi guys - all is well on the nightwatch so far. Thanks for the article Pojo; tonight's progs say .75" for Phx, 'significant' rainfall for Aslkahuna's area and enough snow around Dennis' to make it look like Canada again
Sure Karan & Steph, tell me which direction you're going to start off (left or right) and I'll follow in-step. We'll work hard at getting it to rock-n-roll out here/rain, snow, ice, sleet - need it all. May even see a thundershower on Wednesday. "Deep Winter" has arrived but it's still around 70*. Yahoooo for those closed Lows. Rob, David, Cycloneye, Chad, Garrett, Rainband, Eric, Josh - now you guys know this dance too; we need a Huge Storm for the southwest. Help the ladies.

Hi everyone...Good early morning
It looks like a couple of days of sunshine before the rain and thunderstorms return later this week. I didn't realize that we got several inches of rain over those days of rain late last week into the weekend until I went to dump my rain gauge.
Anyway, I just found out that my cousin who is pregnant (and already had a miscarriage last year with her 1st pregnancy) is going to be without her husband for a while. He has been called up from the reserves. While we all understand, I just hope she will be ok and carries this baby to term. She is pretty shook up right now although she understands why he has to go.
See ya'll later!

Morning everyone! Well I slept in a little longer than most mornings but thats since some of the fireworks have waned from TWC and even here. Have we all gotten it out of our systems now? Seems like if we didnt have all of the things that happened to us either from over there or here or anywhere, we'd not have so many stories and emotions and laughs about it. I just tend to think some people have a tendency of dealing with things in their own little way and some heal fast, some dont. Thats what makes us the person we are, and how unique we can be.
Anyhow, the snow machines have stopped and we got another 2" guess where this puts my totals for the year?! 81" now...wooohooo I'm leading the pack baby! lol Getting very cold and just west of here the temps are sitting on -10. I better get the fire going in the fireplace and I'll be here to answer any laughs, complaints or otherwise! You know me!

Hey Gang!
Just a quick post to say hello!
Southerngale - best of luck to your cousin's husband and with her pregnancy. The timing couldn't be any worse, considering what she's already been through, but like you said, there's nothing that she can do about it. Do you live near her? Is her family near by?
Shannon - that was a good article about the Southwest's chances for precipitation!
Streetsoldier - I actually found that emoticon by accident...I was looking for
which wasn't showing as I was typing my message and I stumbled upon :knight: . I thought it was appropriate!
Anyway, I see Dennis popping up all over the place! I'm glad he's here
but you should be in bed!!!
Have a great day! Talk to you later!

Southerngale I hope your cousin will be ok, pregnancy is such an emotional time in your life and I am sure it will be more so for her in her situation. I hope you give her lots of love and a good listening ear, it will make her feel a lot better.

Its kinda unavoidable! I have to walk to classes this afternoon.Amanzi wrote:Hope you stay in out of that cold wind pojo...
Rob...you have 81" for the winter season so far... I'm jealous! We are sitting at 23.5". Yes, you did hear me right...23.5" of snowfall! We currently have 9" on the ground. (The top 1-2" of the snow is getting blown around with the windchill! What makes the windchill worse is the winds are WSW which means they are coming off of the Bay of Green Bay! So that means the Lake Breeze is affecting us here at UWGB...we are on the Northeastern side of Green Bay and just happen to be a hop, skip and a jump away from the Bay of Green Bay. Nicolet Drive is the main road connecting us to Green Bay and it just happens to run right parallel to the Bay.

Thought I would pop in and see what this version of the Pot Belly Stove looks like. It is nice to see a lot of familiar faces here!
'Tis a chilly one here in Spring Mount, PA. Temps are in the low to mid 20's and wind chills are below 10 degrees. Brrrr! Glad the stove is here to warm me up.
Well, I hope everyone is having a great day. I will stop again soon.

Well, might as well let y'all know that the storm has arrived here in southern California. It is raining as I speak, and I have received over a third of an inch of rain so far this morning. Temps are in the mid 50s right now, and this rain is forecast to continue off and on (mostly on though) for the next few days.
I am already warming up as I type here. Must be the nice fire going here. *adds a log to the fire* That's better.
Despite the rain, I need to do my daily routines. This includes going to school for lab classes this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon, as well as job hunting tomorrow afternoon before I go to lab class. So that is why I am here now.
Just wanted to drop in for a bit and let y'all know what's up. See you later. Joshua
