I would like to see what every one think. Just make a map with the percentages across the US.
I always wish for one but the last one for here was 1989.

I felt bad that Lafayette missed out on the snow last year just by a stone's throw. Maybe we will all get lucky this winter! On the New Orleans weather forum for Channel 4, everyone is talking about the slight possibility for snow here into next week.CajunMama wrote:Someone be kind and put a high percentage for south central la please!!!! Oh we got hosed, BAD! I remember staying up late and looking at the radar which kept showing decent precip moving right over us but it was just too dry. Had a couple quick sleet showers and flurries that night but that was about it...it was just enough to turn my car white/icy. I was disappointed but the way I looked at it was just the fact that there was frozen precip falling from the sky on Christmas eve in south Louisiana was amazing. Now here's hoping for a 6" storm this weekend!

I agree. We were so close to an incredible event for south Louisiana. There was a considerable dry layer that just would not moisten up. But from my estimates we had over a foot of virga in Baton Rouge.

LOL!
It could be possible...at least the week before Christmas. The NWS is hinting at possible frozen precip. by the weekend into early next week for places like Houston. This upcoming cold shot may even be colder then the last. Lots to watch, but wouldn't be surprised to see a little accumulation either.
