Yeah, usually to get snow in SE Louisiana, it has to come totally unexpected. Because every single time people are screaming snow a few days in advance, we don't get a thing. It happens when you at least expect it.

It is great what people can dig up. With that said, had anyone predicted a foot of snow on the 23rd would anybody have believed them. I myself never thought I would see a foot of snow in coastal SE TX.

Big bust for sure.

Wow! Memories that were great. Sorry Jeff for the bust. It was the best busted forecast I could ever wish for. Forecasting weather is a very very tough job and you do a very good a professional job. Thanks for your postings. I hold them in high regard.

I was thinking 1-2"...but 8 1/2 at my house on Christmas...yeah....what a dream.

A dream it was Air Force. At 10:30PM I remember looking up and thanking God for a wonderful gift. Seeing VIS satellites of snow cover over S and SE TX was unreal.
