Does anyone know what hospital Jeremy is in? Same question for a home snail mail for him? If you do please pm or email me with the information.

More prayers headed his way as he nears the surgery!!!

Well, I finally got on. This evening I am still at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, having been admitted yesterday. VB, I will pm you the other info you request.

First off, I am here because the hospital allows patients to rent laptops for 5 hours a day free. They are wirelessly connected to the net.

As for other happenings...they cleared out my intestines yesterday, and I am still on clear liquid until midnight tonight. Surgery is tomorrow morning at 7:30am, and is expected to last 10-12 hours. It's complicated, but it will simplify life for me long term. My mom is staying tonight, and my stepdad will come back up tomorrow morning for the surgery. I am hoping - no, expecting - to be out on the 23rd, and then will take it really easy on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. It's a tough road ahead, but one I am facing bravely. I will admit that yesterday, as they put a PICC line (also called a central line) in, I did cry. It hurt and I didn't want to be there right then. But, I'm used to it now, and am settled for the long haul.

Jeremy,

When you feel up to it I'd like to have both the hospital address and your home address PM'ed to send some cards to you, also, Wxbuddy. ((((HUGS))))

The Lord comfort you and give you more strength every day, Brother. I also pray His guidance with the surgery team tomorrow morning...and meds treatment during your recovery. Sleep well tonight my friend. Maybe the nurse is allowed to give you something to help with relaxation tonight.

I can certainly vouch for Cincinnati Children's Hospital...during my preschool years I had numerous chest and skull x-rays (had a skull fracture when a year-old) and EEG's. And then as a teenager I went to the Adolescent Clinic there for a while for various follow-up later life tests and consultations during that period of my life. Some more x-rays and an EEG, too. It is a wonder though that I don't glow today. Also, my younger sister Retha who was born with a hole in one of her tear ducts had corrective surgery for that at Cincy Children's.

Love You and God Bless,

Eric

Hopefully by now Jeremy is back in his hospital room and trying to ward off the effects of the anesthesia. Toughest part is now behind you, Wxbuddy, and you can get on the road to recovery.

Hey everyone,

I have put up a new webpage through a service known as Carepages. If you want to check it out, email me your e-mail address and I will send you an invitation... my mom will help me send them out as I can't be out of bed for more than 30 minutes at a time. BTW my home snail mail and that of the hospital are posted there under contact info.

Well, just a little update for you all...

I had a rough night last night. My heart rate and blood pressure were sky high almost all night, which we were worried about. Things are a bit better today but we're still watching it.
