Cajunmama, I washed my car yesterday too! I'm feeling pretty good about our chances of rain this afternoon, there's more thunderstorms out there then I thought would be. It's getting really cloudy out there now, time to do a rain dance!

Only enough to wet the ground at my house...now the storms have moved are south and east and of and some well to the west that I doubt will make it here. I just looked outside and its sunny with very few clouds...arghh looks like we'll have the driest may ever after all.

Sure looks like at least an alright band of rain and thunderstorm activity. Looking forward to hear if you get any and anymore PTrackerLA and Kathy, respectively. :)

Good idea though CajunMama...I think I'll try that too.
At least you got a 10 minute shower....but I know you need like a 10 HOUR shower! This is ridiculous. I actually saw a few dark clouds today for a couple of minutes but not a drop of rain. It was all north of us too. :(

Well we missed all the rain so this will most likely be our driest may on record. May of 1998 held the previous record...

Darn, Kathy - it ain't good when washing the car doesn't entice
rain from the clouds! I guess the birds will take care of it, for you,
instead.......they always do with mine! :(

BreinLa and I went for a walk tonight and noticed cracks in the dirt around the high school. Also found some areas of cracked dirt around my house. Hopefully it won't mess up the foundation of my house. Boo Hoo!

The lake charles nws discussion doesn't sound too optimistic for rain chance sunday/monday and into next week. They said the Bermuda high will build back over us again after another front passes through sunday/monday timeframe. The bayous are gonna start giving off dust!

Not looking good...

#18 Postby PTrackerLA » Thu May 29, 2003 9:31 pm

Looks like only 20% rain chances sunday through next week. We need lots of widespread rain, this will not help the drought at all. Bring on a tropical depression (okay I said it).
