Alright, alright already. I just got the grocerys put away.
The KK's are on top of the fridg. so crouton won't get at them, got a dozen fresh warm glazed and another whole dozen chocolate, I like them too Dennis.

Wow Bill, that is awful. I know its rough having family come to live for a while, but better there than where she was. At least she hopefully will leave, alot don't. Prayers that everything works out for her.

Arkess, hoping to get all my shopping done this week sometime. The kids are almost done, all 3 of them. Alot of $$ I tell ya, the older they get the more $ it is, and I know it's only going to get better. Still need to get some of the adults something, they are so hard because they already have almost everything. I will probably end up getting them a nice dinner out, I always enjoy a good gift card. Something more personable is always nice, but so hard. You know they will eat. lol.

Anyways everyone enjoy the fresh kk's and have a good day. :D

Seasons greetings, everyone. Bill, it looks like you're getting a whole lot more than you bargained for, for christmas! I don't know what your relationship is like with your stepdaughter is, but it sounds like this is a done deal. I've had similar experiences and it's never easy, even if it's the right thing to do.

Thanks for the well-wishes, folks!

Bill, I'm sending prayers to you and your family, too. There
are humans, and, then, there are animals...sometimes, the
humans seem to cross the line.

Uh-oh, David - I see Crouton scouring the stove area for
KK's - he's in piggie mode - better grab those KK's and run!
LOL, have a good night, all!

Let's all say a special prayer for the ole' Jermeister that he'll have a good night's sleep and that the surgical team guided by the Great Physician tomorrow in the 10-12 hour procedure and that our Wxbuddy and S2K Family Brother will have a smooth recovery with least discomfort over the coming weeks.

I had major surgery in 1985...and the natural feeling of some anxiety on the eve of an operation. It always feels good and comforting to have fellow Prayer Warriors lift you up to the Saviour!

Everywxone have a good night! :)

Eric - it's 7:30 a.m. right now, when Jeremy's surgery is to begin. Good idea Eric, let's pour on the prayers. I've been thru 2 major surgeries, you are literally shaking as they put you under. His recovery will be painful but I'm also praying his quality of life will be easier and more manageable.

Jeremy - sending prayers and well wishes your way.

Prayers flowing right now for Jeremy and his family too. It is a tough time for all.

Where are the KK's? Did Crouton already get them? :grrr: :grrr: :grrr:

Not going to warm up a lot around here(at least for us Southern folk)for the next week or so, so I could be spending more time in here.

Till later,

David

Long time no hear Strangers.... I finally had a chance to access S2K. My time here is dwindling... I'm down closer to 25 days left (I'm guessing... I haven't seen my circle of freedom lately).

Merry Christmas PBS visitors!

Shannon, you are always in my heart and consciousness. I see those days flying by for you and your companions.

Time has really gotten away from me -- and I haven't even finished Christmas shopping for my FL family, or finished my Christmas cards! But our progressive cocktail party yesterday evening was wonderful (the theme for our house was Scandanavia, and my smoresbrod, Swedish meatballs, and that Danish "firewater" called Aquavit were big hits). I have to pack away the punch bowl, extra wine glasses, cordial glasses, serving pieces, etc. that can wait. Last Thursday I took my boss out to lunch in Ft. Lauderdale (my unpaid Sabbatical ends after the holidays) and I spent all of Friday with a dear former co-worker who's moving to Cincinnati before the year is out. My daughter Sarah is coming over after work to bake cookies tomorrow. She'll then stay overnight and leave for the hospital from here Tuesday a.m. (since she and David now live 80 miles north of us in Vero Beach). And my dearest sister is flying in from Minneapolis for 10 days on Wednesday afternoon.

The good news is that I've already bought and direct shipped gifts for our AZ and IL family online when I tagged along to Ft. Myers with Kurt (business meeting). While taking that extended weekend, I got to meet up with a cousin whom I haven't seen in over 30 years! Now that we "know" each other again, I'm hoping for a closer relationship.

Time for more on-line shopping (I hate crowds an early snowbirds are making holiday traffic even worse this season...) and digging out the Christmas cookie recipes. I'm brewing a delicious pot of Ginger Peach tea and opening a gift box of petit fours, if anyone's interested in joining ....

Oh, Dee Bee, that Ginger Peach tea sounds lovely - I do
believe I'll try some - and, just a petit four for the sweet
tooth, please - thank you! Sounds like you've been enjoying
the holiday season with your family, and, rekindling old
times with others. I do hope you enjoy every moment of your
visit with your sister, as well - time does get away from us
and we have to cherish every moment!

Mama had her surgery on her foot on Thursday, and, she has
really done very well. Thanks to you Prayer Warriors! She's been
here with me since Thursday, and, this afternoon, she decided
that she wanted to go home (two blocks away) and see how
she can manage at home on her walker. I have spoken to her,
and, she's doing very well - I made her a bag to go on the
front of her walker to carry her cell phone and lighter
accessories, so that she can tote things around the house and
call me, if needed. I've been off Thursday, Friday, and the
weekend, and, I'm taking off tomorrow, too. I still had vacation
days to use up before the end of the year, so, what more
perfect time?

Jeremy, I hope that you're surgery went well, too, buddy.
We're cheering for you, all the way!

Hang in there, Shannon! We'll all be glad to have our pojo
back home, again!

The fire feels so good...it's good to be back. I'm going to
grab an afghan and sit in the rocker by the fire, and, enjoy
Dee Bee's Ginger Peach tea and a petit four...

Have a good night, wxbuddies!

Yup, arkess been busy getting ready for the big day. House is pretty clean and laundry almost caught up, it's so busy for 3 days with family and friends that I won't have time or the want to do the normal hum drum chores around here.

Breeze so good to hear your mom is doing well. :D Good idea with the bag on the front of the walker. My aunt was having the same problem but she was on cruches and it was hard for her to take food, remote, or anything else from one place to another.

Just want to wish all my new wxbuddies a very Merry Christmas, and a healthy and Happy New Year. Enjoy all your family and friends and making memories that will last a lifetime. :D

Whew!! Where so I start?

Many Merry Christmases to your and all youor fellow airmen and women Shannon!!!! Time will be done before ya know it!!! Can't say thanks enough for what everyone of you is doing for us!!!!

Annette, so glad your Mom is progressing well in her recovery! Hope you guys have a wonderful Christmas!!

Arkess, can I be one of your step kids? I LOVE standing rib roasts!!!!!!

Presents all wrapped? Are you kidding? LOLOL!!!! We're just trying to figure out how we are going to fit 17 for dinner tomorrow!!! It'll be the traditional fattening of the family!!!   And we love every minute of it even if we complain!!!

Thanks for the KK's and cofee!! I need them both!! And even I gave Crouton a nibble of my beloved KK!!!

I just found out that I am not going to have the next week off as I thought. Crash and burn project must be out literally weeks ago and I just got it yesterday with major changes needed.   We normally have the last week of the year off but have to give them some vacation days. This year I get to keep all of my vacation(almost two weeks worth)and roll it over plus get paid for being here too. Anyway I am making sure I come out on theup side of this deal since I really like being off that week.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Thanks guys. As you all must know by now, I am home and doing better each day.

I should tell you all that I remember almost nothing from Thursday through early Sunday. I am going back through the few posts I made on those dates trying to recall what was going on. Other than that, I remember 2 things:

1) my mom being there basically the ENTIRE weekend
2) a visit from one of my uncles (I think that was sometime late Friday/during the day Saturday)

That's it. I just do not remember much else.

Again, thank you all for the prayers...I do believe God's hand was in this thing...He saw my distress, and He responded as only He could.
