Last Dec 2004 Dr Gray's forecast for the 2005 season was 11/6/3. By May 2005 he ramped it up to 15/8/4. 2005 surpassed all forecasts as we well know. This Dec 2005 his forecast is 17/9/5 and this number in all likelihood will be increased as we get to May 2006. Last Dec 2004 his forecast called for a 69% chance of a storm striking the US coastline this Dec 81% chance. Here on the Gulf coast ,last year 39% chance, this years forecast 47%.I believe these numbers could go up and his prelimiminary forecast is indicative of another banner year that awaits us in 2006.

I sort of agree. We can never be ready of what Mother nature throws at us. Everyone said that after 3004 season but we never saw 2005 worseuntil it happenend.

Well, we on the MS/LA/AL Gulf Coast didn't get any snow on Christmas Day this year like we did last year. And (so far) no tsunami has been reported on the 26th, so I'll say the upcoming season is already starting out on quite a different note...
What any of that means - if anything - will only be known by this time next year...
