Possibly the worst natural disaster in the history of man kind

Over 200,000 dead and most likely thousands more will never be found

Well, the Toba eruption 74000 years ago that nearly extincted the entire Human Race might possible make a claim for being the worst disaster experienced by Man. Also, the death toll from the East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) of 1970 is estimated to be higher. However, it was a really bad event.
