North Texas On FIRE

Turned on the TV to see at least a dozen or more fires burning in NTX. It is a horrible site to see. So please pray for our firemen out there fighting these fires and better yet lets all pray for some rain.

Does anyone foresee any moisture or change in this pattern that might break this dry, low humidity, windy pattern?

Also I believe a law should be made to prevent the sale of fireworks during drought conditions. Our locals here dropped the burn ban a few days ago...how stupid. I hope they put it back in place and soon. wonder if the fireworks stands are putting pressure on them? you know local politics. Just heard one fire was started by kids setting off fireworks up near the Arlington area. Also the folks throwing out lit cigs. are also stupid.

I'm afraid this is JUST the beginning :grr: We've had NUMEROUS spot fires here already, we had one last NIGHT in fact that started in a construction dumpster and spread to the CROWNS of the trees AROUND IT.......not good, not good at ALL!!

The fire in Kennedale was not two far to my SE, I would say about 3 miles. I watered the front yard heaviely lastnight and will do the back yard tonight. If a fire ever got started the other side of the main road across from me, well let's say only the worst could happen.

I think I will place one of the sprinklers on the roof today, just in case.

Fireworks are now illegal within the city limits here in Pascagoula now. They enforced it last year.

What a TERRIBLE thing :cry: I was watching the news last night and then again this morning and the destruction :cry: I HOPE and PRAY we get some KIND of moisture this winter, I don't care if it snows or not just SOME kind of moisture, heck......even a rise in the RH% would help matters SOMEWHAT!!!!

Well, there is not much there now, so what is the use of enforcing an ordinance that won't have much effect?
