That's the spirit Dennis!!! Wish I had saved some email addys but I didn't. Guess that's a headsup to anyone who'd like to take on this task.....just start saving them up in case TWC boards go down, that is if you can still post there. At least we can throw them a line....oops a link.

Sorry to hear for the decisions on weather.com. Some good weather fans feel betrayed...and it is sad that TWC needs to figure out how best to handle us unwieldly characters.

Funny thing about the "F" word. "Fanatics" that is.

Most of those who work at TWC would admit to being consumed by an interest in weather at a very young age, passionate about it as they came through school and college, and now want to project to those who watch them just how fascinating and enjoyable that not only weather can be, but so too can the people who talk about weather.

The best OCM's on The Weather Channel are those who work hard to relate to their audience. Weather.com needs to step back and figure out how best to do that on the internet.

I've responded to Mike Siedel....and while I expect no immediate switch on the tracks, I do hope his comments become a catalyst for a healthier fan friendly message board.

Good comments there Steve, from a different angle too. Another way to look at things as they are. Yes it would be nice if TWC were to try harder to relate to their audience. Who knows, it could happen. I really like Mike Seidel and he could turn it around. We'll have to wait this one out.

If it's broke, it needs fixin'!

Mary...my point of view is one of reason. 25 years in politics, committees, advisory panels, planning groups, and 35 years around weather folks of all sizes, shapes, colors, and attitudes combine to tell me that anger and frustration foster bitterness, and I don't have room for that. It sucks the life right out of me. And the sky above me is one I want to share...not just own a piece of.

I am no more right in how I feel and express myself than you are...but I never quit trying to fix something that isn't working. Not overnight. Over the long haul.

And besides...there are some people I know and respect at TWC, and so that things can better reflect on them, too, I'm willing to hold a mirror to their face this time and let them take a look too.

Maybe they will see something they need to fix.

Let's hope so Steve but ya know something, somehow I seriously doubt it this time, things for some odd reason(s) have gotten WAY outta control! They have lost some very loyal members over the past week and they don't seem to care. As far as watchin' TWC......I don't know yet, the "Local On the 8's" SUCK, it's not even CLOSE to being right anymore since TWC took over TLO8's, ah well, like I said, it's time to let the water flow and quit dwelling on the bad, Lord knows there's enough bad in this world without adding insult to injury!

NOW....the question of the night, "Who's next?" I was the last one banned, "Come on folks, Step right right up, tell it like it is and you too can be banned from TWC!"

Probably me, Dennis.

If so...I'll just continue to enjoy my time here..and the company here...while I also work with TWC if they make a move to improve things.

My roots there run pretty deep.

I can understand you shakin' your heads at my willingness to work with them under a variety of circumstances, but I hope I'm not tossed to a different BB just because I won't kick and scream on my way out.

I'll do that...only under my terms.

Steve - I hear ya. Believe you me, I do hear what you're saying. It took a lot for me to post the Storm2K link! Even after all that's gone down, if a new "Let's Bash TWC" topic started here, I wouldn't join in. Now if one started "Let's Reminisce about the way TWC used to be", then I'd join in. Bashing just isn't my style. But you can only take so much. The times I did pop in there, even after Eric was magically reinstated, just didn't feel like home to me. The comraderie I once felt there seems to gone. Gone for good remains to be seen. I hope it can recover but in light of the downhill trend there, I'm skeptical. Storm2K feels like home now. Simply stated - I've found a new home here.

And finally, as for stating how you really feel in a final TWC post, I didn't even get to say........"will you please do something to improve Lisa Mozer's forecasts?". Dang, missed that chance. See, that would have been too far for even me!!!! I may turn the sound down when she once again gives a very unprofessional forecast, but to actually post that in a TWC post, well, that's taking it too far for Miss Mary. So see, Steve I can relate to how you want things to be on your terms. On that we agree. I always tried to post the way I'd talk to a TWC OCM or employee in person - with respect but somehow with honesty too.

Actually my way of walking out that door is not to kick and scream but to walk ever so slowly, shaking my head the entire time and with a profound sad look on my face - very similar to the one I had when Chat closed for good. That's my style. And oh, I'd be muttering.....Storm2K.org.....Storm2K.org.....Storm2K.org......LOL

Well, I'm done for now. And spent actually.....need for coffee for constructive posts like this!!!!!

I also enjoy watching Mike's reports. I saw him last week, before last week he wasn't on for awhile.

TWC sure did have an off-topic forum for four months... it did very well and then we all know what happened. :)

Dennis - after all you've done for them!!

Steve - I applaud you for still trying to work with them. I hope that they don't slap you in the face also, but now that their colors are shining brightly, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they did.

I have to believe that this is not what the originators of TWC back in the 1980's had imagined would nor want to have happen.

After TWC took OT forum off, they went downhill. JohnAdmin banned people left and right. People left because of this.

I don't think TWC will be the same.

I find it interesting that they removed Mike Siedel's post from The Weather Channel forum, too.

Maybe it was at Mike's request, but to my knowledge that is the first time that a post placed on the boards by an OCM has ever been deleted.

I've got a HUGE favor to ask each and everyone here, "let's drop this subject and let it die a respectful death!"

Like Dave said so well, "That's where I met all of my friends!" Ain't that the truth, Steve, I've yet to meet you face to face but yet, I feel as if we've been best friends for a life time. Karan, I "LOVE YA" girl 8-) You are VERY, VERY, VERY special to Michelle and I. Bill, same goes for you and the *lil ho!* Dave, Brother......I have no words to express my feelings towards you, May Christ come soon so we can ALL have a GLORIOUS reunion in the FOREVER after! Chad, Marshall, Patricia........THANK YOU for makin' me feel RIGHT at HOME here at storm2K. There are COUNTLESS others, Mike (stormsfury) Garrett, Annette...ALL of you have made my wonderings on the net so very special. It's time to let bygones be just that, continue to build life long friendships and I DO MEAN *Life long*. OH........I must not forgot one VERY, VERY special lady in my life, Tracy.........I LOVE YOU like a sister kiddo......HUGE AZSNOWMAN ((((HUGS)))) to you and yours! May God contiue to POUR out his blessing on EACH and everyone of you. NOW.......let's get on with life here, let's make storm2K the BEST site on the web, whatta ya say??????

sounds good to me. I barely check TWC anyways and it seems that everyone is here (Storm2k) and we are here to stay. :D There's no complaining about the clothing we wear or how we present the weather...

Everyone is different...one person can't change our special personalities.

Whoa, deleting a OCM's topic? At first thought, it does sound drastic. A new low for TWC. But then you have to consider, maybe Mike Seidel asked for it to be deleted or deleted it himself? In the best interest of the boards over there. Perhaps he thought, okay I've made my point, let's delete it now. Just a thought.

Dennis, what no mention of me in your post?!!! Deeply hurt here.....LOL! J/K with ya.....I feel the same as you. I've become quite attached to Storm2K - so thanks Chad, Marshall, Ticka, et all. I'm deeply appreciative of the friendships and time I spent at TWC but it is time to move on. So that said, in the best interest of Storm2K, I agree - let's drop it. I may have started something when I posted Mike's topic, so apologies there, but heck now I can't even read the boards there, so no possibility of me doing that again (copy/pasting a TWC topic).

I'll let it fade away if others will. I want to make Storm2K even better!
