Finally, it is over.

A long battle that has raged over 2 years because of what happened one April day is over. They settled with us for about $3800. I am just glad this is over without having to go to court. Frankly, I'd have liked to get more, but I just can't deal with the added stress of a court case and I just wanted to end it.

I am glad the case is over for you Jeremy, The stress of the case wasn't good for you with the surgery you had recently. I know you would have like more but be glad you got that amount.

Jeremy....I have learned a lot of things in my nearly 5 decades of life here...and one of those is just how important it is to put some things behind us and move on. That is so true in the case of someone who has a lifetime ahead of them.

Holding on to anger and resentment for years and years takes a toll on that person...not the ones the anger is directed toward.

Although the settlement is not all that significant, it marks the end of a chapter in your life and the beginning of a new one.

All of us here wish you nothing but better days ahead.

Steve

Sorry that you had to go through that. Sometimes are court systems forget about those who are the victims and make us feel like we are the ones who did something wrong. I hope everything works out for you and life starts to look up for you.

Steve's right (as usual), it's time to look forward Jeremy. I'm glad that this is now over and done with for you. (((HUGS))).

The one thing I was not happy about is, my grandma (who is also the family lawyer) dropped the ball on this one. I am not bitter towards the other guy, even though he did cause this. Still, it's just a relief to be done with this.
