Okay Miss Karan, yes I want our Bengals to win! I hope you realize this town is going nuts. We've waited so long to A. have a winning season and B. get to the playoffs again! There were many bleak seasons where they'd barely win any games. And I'm a baseball fan but at least I'm aware that this is a big-big year in Cincinnati!

Today is spirit wear, Cincinnatians are asked to wear their Bengals gear to work and/or school.

There's a pep rally at the Bengals stadium, from 6 to 9 tonight.

And my Bengals flag is going up, after I log off.

It's a Black and Orange Day!!!!

Ohhh...it's a football HOO-DOO goin' on, here!

May all interested parties have a good win.....

HAR-HAR! 8-) That's a generic statement, eh?

My heat went out - down to 27°F, tonight....I had to
fire up the 'ole kerosene heater with the kitchen window
cracked a bit...carbon monoxide thing, you
know. The dude is supposed to come to check
the unit out, tomorrow. Meanwhile, it's warm and
toasty!

Bungles for Bengals?

Reminds me of the Beagles for the Eagles. That did not go over well in Philly.

LOL @ Plowboys. We could start a separate thread for "favorite" nicknames of teams.

Yikes -- I'm going to pull this chair right up next to the stove and grab an afghan, too! As my dad used to say, it's "long gatchies" (sp? possibly Czech for "long underwear") weather.

SoFla's on the way down to the mid-30s with wind chill possibly in the upper 20s tonight. This will be the coldest I've experienced in the nearly 6 years I've moved here. I've sheltered the outdoor flowering plants, and the regular sprinkler schedule includes early Sunday morning. Since my home is two-storied and entirely tiled (no carpeting except a few mats and a small area rug in the family room), once the house gets cold, it stays cold. I'm even going to break out the small space heater when I take my shower.

For now, I've brewed a pot of Good Earth tea and opened a bag of (low-fat) chocolate covered pretzels if anyone'd like to warm up with me! :P

Good morning!

I see that the playoff banter is in full swing. Good to see... sorry to say that neither of my teams are in the hunt this year. As a result, I have to get behind Denver. Go Broncos!!!

It has been busy here this week, trying to get things lined up and squared away to go back to college. At the same time... the debate season is getting ready to hit a fevered pitch and I am working a mile a minute trying to get them ready for districts.

Try to stay warm with the window open Annette! ;) ;)

Ok Miss Mary, I'm going to grab a cup of Dee's Earl Grey before I start on something a little stronger. It seems like our Steelers are always right on the verge of something big. Last season was a prime example. This season started with so many injuries that to tell you the truth, I just don't know how good they really are. May the best team win!!!!! It has been too long for the Bengals. I know how exciting that can be for a town and I hope you guys are enjoying it. Seriously.

Ok, I'm going to cook up some munchies and mix up some heavy duty libations.
GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!

Who Dey!!!

Seriously, thanks for realizing how important this game is. It's been 15 years in the making. Hubby went off to his tailgate, and game later. Yes he has season tix thru work and took a close friend. I think he's actually relieved I'm not a football fan! We know of many couples who are and you can't pry them apart. Or if you did, the wife would be hurt. he he He said I'm really glad you're not into it, so his good friend is going (who's also equally glad I'm not a football fan!)....he's tried explaining this game but unless you compare it to baseball, I swear I just don't quite get it all! And yes I've been known to say 4th Inning instead of 4th Quarter sooooo it's maybe a good thing I didn't take the other ticket! LOL But I can get into the spirit of it all. This town is thinking of nothing else but the playoff game and wearing Bengals gear!

And the Panthers don't look too bad at all as they are whipping butt on the Giants 23-0 now in the 4th quarter!!!! :D :D

Can't wait for 4:30 to roll around either as I grew up a Bengals fan and forever will be of them!! :D 8-)

Looking forward to the Colts playoff opener next weekend, too, as both my parents were born and raised in Indiana and I was born in and lived there for a year! :D

Eric 8-)

*UPDATE*

PANTHERS BEAT GIANTS 23-0!! :D :D
