The number in BOLD was a 1 hour rainfall total!! Around 5 inches in 1 hour!!!! The italic number is a 6 hour rainfall total! That is some rain!!! :o Major flooding. Turn to TWC for pics.

What an incredible amount of H2O!!!!!
They not only set a record rainfall amt for a single day, but also for the whole month of May in a matter of hours! :crazyeyes:

Wow ! That reminds me of the 11 inches of rain we had in only two hours in Birmingham,AL last week or so. Lots of flooding !

That is some rain!!!! We've had only 2 1/2" in the last 24 hrs. It's raining again,as we speak.

I've had 1" today since I posted earlier. I hear thunder again and it's starting to rain again. Better check the radar and shut down for a while.

Last year, the May total was 5.16 inches, this year we're below normal.

We're above too. I'll check on how far... 3" over normal for may so far with rain expected this afternoon... *sigh* guess we'll not get out of this for a while. Unless the pattern changes...
