Andrew was the closest to my birthday. It struck La. on Aug. 26th and my birthday is Aug. 26. I think Katrina would be the next closest but I am not sure because I cant remember the exact date Camile Struck.

HURRICANE BRET August 1999, it made landfall in southern Texas

ANITA 1979

1) Hurricane Audrey hit June 27th LA/TX border. My birthday is June 25th. Not sure if it counts since it was a good 20 years or so before I was actually born. Bill was not a hurricane, but a tropical storm that hit 5 days after my birthday. Houma, LA June 30th. Cindy hit Grand Isle on my mom's birthday July 5th last year.

2) Probably Betsy. My parents always talked about her when I was really little. They were both in the eyewall of the storm. I was always fascinated with their stories and still am to this day.

3) Probably Andrew. Andrew was the turning point that got me hooked. Did not really get my attention though until I saw how he mauled South Florida. When he got in the Gulf, I just knew we were his next targets.
