The colors are precipitation amounts during the period, the darker the heavier. I think a line from Ontario to Eastern Ohio and western VA will see significant snow out of this. It looks like the heavy snow will fall EAST of detroit, though. My forecast...6-10 inches in eastern ohio and western VA, with the most over Ontario.

I'm a bit too far west for this right?
I think i may see and inch or two at best. Nothing to a dusting at worst...i dont think this one is for Columbus.
Won't the ground still be quite warm and damp after todays and tomorrow's rain? I suppose it depends how quickly the temperatures fall.
Whatever happens, nice to see changes happening in the pattern at last.

Interesting discussion from our local NWS office today.
Right now, they are going from around an inch in the west of the forecast area (I think thats around Dayton down to Cincinnati, never sure where the line is that our forecast area stops!) to around 3 inches in the far east of our area. I reckon thats a pretty sensible guess at this stage. They acknowledge that its a difficult system to nail down though.
Hopefully will have a better idea by lunchtime tomorrow. By then, accumlation amounts will be added to the actual forecast if they are needed..will be interesting to see what they go for.
