When I said that, I meant severe weather, not heavy rain. Most people dont consider heavy rain to be severe weather. As far as rain goes, it looks like florida is in the bullseye...but thats florida, so whats new?

Its february, florida always gets heavy rain in february. It just happened to be that Tampa was in the bullseye as opposed to some random city with 28 people living there

Yes I saw that at the 1:15Z scan and I was wondering why a TOR was not on it yet. That is a very impressive HP supercell. Thankfully it is over rural areas. Let's hope it weakens before hitting Miami.

Yes there have been some infamous outbreaks in February in Florida, but on average, February should be a dry month.

Across south Florida, November through April marks the dry season with average rainfall during this time frame of less than 25 percent of the annual total. Severe weather and even thunderstorms in general are a rarity.

Wow that is impressive. Cool Level II data. Thankfully is has lined out a bit. As predicted, the situation is becoming quite volatile in southern Florida where there has been insolation all day now.

There's almost no doubt, you will see some action tonight. Be careful since tornadoes are not out of the realm of possibility. Be ready to move to another more sturdy structure (since mobile homes offer absolutely NO protection against tornadoes) should a warning be issued for Ft. Lauderdale.
