Hi everyone!

Dee Bee... do you think you could come to Missouri and help me get my certification quicker? :D I still have three more semesters and it seems like an eternity away, especially since I have so much experience in the classroom as a debate coach.

David, glad to hear the great news on the improvement of your mother-in-law. Small things such as that seem to be victories in the battle for health. Prayers for her continued improvement!!!

This weekend, I finally get a break... but an unexpected one. The tournament we were supposed to attend was cancelled. I was sad because I thought we had a great chance of winning it all. Oh well, we have our conference tournament Tuesday night and so we need to rest up and practice for that. I have my work cut out for me. I want to bring Monett its first conference championship in debate! We shall see how that works out.

Sorry Karan, but I have to root for the Seahawks. I actually don't care... I would be fine if Pittsburgh beat the tar out of them, but I picked the Seahawks for the work pool. One of only three who did! They must be the underdog. :ggreen:

David, that's terrific news. ((Hugs)) My prayers are still being sent.

wx247, I hope you didn't bet too much. lol

Well yuns guys I'm in Roanoke. The ride down was terrific with banners waving and my blow up Terry Bradshaw in the back seat. We went to a Mexican eatery last night all decked out in our black and gold. My grandaughter, Madison and my grandson, Jack even had their Steeler colors displayed. No, I didn't take my terrible towel with me. (actually it was in my purse but I held back and didn't wave it around while I was eating. :D We went to Kroger and bought more munchies and wine for the game.

Well, I need to get ready. We're going to see Nanny McFee.
I'll brew a pot of tea and leave some gold and black KK's on the stove.
Have a great day everyone!!!
GO STEELERS!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Well more news from the Houston area. I became a GREAT Uncle this morning. My neice had a boy this am. Both are doing well. She is being monitored very closely due to her Epilepsy history but there have been no problems.

My MIL is stable. That is the best way to state it right now. I keep telling myself, baby steps, baby steps. Of course, when she finds our her first Great Grandbaby was born this morning, she may just hop out of the bed and run down the hall.

Karan, you are really going all out this weekend!!! Sounds like a blast especially since you will be with family. Have a great time!!! Go Steelers!!! And thanks for the KK's!!! How did you make them still taste like chocolate? :D :D

Garrett, I know you are idsappointed with the cancellation, but that just sets you up for better things down the road.

Congrats on the new family addition, David! I also hope that
the new baby will be the light that helps your MIL get better, as well!

My Mama's foot is healing well. She got the bandage off, this past
week, and, the incisions are healing together very well. She was
allowed to pitch the walker, a few weeks ago, and has to wear the special
shoe for three more weeks. Today, we went to get groceries, and, I
went to her house to help her bring them in the house. As I unlocked
the door and laid her mail on the table, I turned around to come out
and start getting bags in, and "Mrs. Feisty" had already jumped out
and was about to step up on the concrete porch (about a 4" concrete
slab) with several bags of canned goods, and, before I
could say, "Whoah - wait - hold on....", she lost balance and fell off
the porch, actually landing on the soft, soggy wet grass. I just KNEW
she had to have broken something! I helped her up after we
determined that she could move everything, and, helped her inside.
Not ONE scratch, not ONE bruise, not ONE "goose-egg" on her head -
thank God! Her pupils were equal, and, I keep calling her, every hour
or so, to make sure she's still making "good sense", as, she did hit her
head. Between the Good Lord, the soggy, soft ground, and her thick
winter coat, she was spared a broken bones and a lot of misery!
But, I know one little lady who's going to be veeeeery sore, in the
morning!

Come on guys, don't make fun of my blow up doll. Every girl's got to have a little excitement in her life. OMG, I need to get a life!!    Ok Mr. new great uncle, you better mind your P's and Q's!!!!!! Now how do you think that doll will get deflated David. Are you insinuating something there????? Congratulations Buddy.

Oh Breeze, your Mom must be related to my Mom. My Mom actually fractured her pelvis playing Jackie Gleason (away we go) in a Woman's Club Drama Department performance. Now my Mom is 83. At the time she was 79 and she tripped on her "tennis shoe". Away we Go!!!!!  :) Your Mom has so much spunk, I know she'll be fine. It's you, trying to keep, after her that I worry about!!! :cheesy:

Ok yungs guys, I'm going to take my shower, put on my Steeler Gold and Black, kick back, make some shrimp, chicken and dumplings, and oodles of muchies and dring oodles of nice, dry, white wine. YIPPEE
HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO
HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO

Ok, I'll go give Terry and kiss for luck and I'm ready!!!!
Have a great day and enjoy the game.
Don't drink and drive please.
I'm sorry if you need a sober driver, I won't be available.    :team: :Partytime: :football:  :Partytime: :tailgate:

Sorry guys....can't root for the Steelers. But if they win, I'll be happy for YOU Karan! My hubby is rooting for them, figure that one out but hardly anyone else in Cincinnati is rooting for the Steelers!

I am enjoying this thread, picturing Karan and her blow up doll......OMG, that is too funny!

Yay Steelers!

I can't get too excited because I didn't follow football all season. I'm not going to be a jump-on-the-bandwagon-at-the-last-minute type of fan.

LOL @ Pojo: wheels on the bus.

Yeah, me neither Ed. Hubby is a faithful, diehard Bengals fan though. So I follow football season, b/c he does. Hang the Bengals flag, obligingly.....LOL

Baseball's my game. I played softball years ago and I understand it. And I was a faithful, diehard Big Red Machine Reds fan.....oh yeah, big time! Trained by my dad....
