Lately there has been a rash of super-long urls in posts that cause the post width to stretch to annoying proportions.
Here's how to avoid that.
Copy the super long link. Go to http://tinyurl.com and paste your superlong link into the box at the bottom. Hit the "Make TinyURL!" button.
VOILA! A link about the size of your pinky toe, that gets to the same place the really long one did.
Alternately, on the tinyurl homepage, you can look on the left and click on "Make a Toolbar Button." Once you've got a toolbar button on your browser, you don't even have to copy the link anymore--if you're on the webpage you want to share, just hit the TinyUrl toolbar button and VOILA, instant pinky-toe-size link.
TinyURL is your friend, friends! Please, won't you do it for the children^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H posts?

You can certainly do either, but I find tinyurl to be much easier and less error-prone than tags

Gosh y'all, I'm a sticky! *blushes*
