I voted for the Carolinas coast. What do you think where the most landfalls will occur in the U.S coastline?
Remember that the most important poll is getting closer to be posted at March 15 and that is the official storm2k forecast poll so get ready for that one.

Actually, it is hard to say right now. Even though most say the Carolinas will get the most hits, that could very well change. The La Nina has already been in place since October; I doubt it will remain this strong all the way into August or September. I think that, by summer, the La Nina will likely fluctuate/moderate, leaving a split ridge that will be strong at times and weaker at other times. I think that hits will be evenly split between the Carolinas, New England and eastern Canada, southeast Florida and the Bahamas, and western and central Texas and Mexico and the islands and countries in the Caribbean. I think those areas will be the most vulnerable this year.

Let's have more votes to this poll as 27 is a relativly low total. The poll voting looks good with a spread of the areas.

For the last two seasons, from NOLA to Pensacola has been
under the gun, as well as the east coast of Florida.
The trend is for another active GOM season, but I hope that is not
the case for 2006.
i hear ya, our area is barely hanging on...NOLA to Pcola needs a long and i mean long break...and i agree vb, WAY EAST! i guess we will see what is gonna happen in a couple of months

Now that more days has gone by, I have formatted my predictions more. I think the Carolinas will get the most hits; however, Florida and Texas will follow very closely behind. The Carolinas will barely have more hits than Florida and Texas.

I say the East coast of Florida (especially SE, around Miami) will see the most hits this season.I totally disagree with the Carolinas seeing the most hits.We said the Carolinas were going to get slammed during the 2004 and 2005 seasons and it didn't happen, and I don't think it will happen this season.I'm not saying they won't get hit,I think they will, but I highly doubt they will see the most landfall in the U.S.
