Live for today, for there may not be a tomorrow

#1 Postby cajungal » Sat Feb 11, 2006 8:38 pm

I am writing this in reference to a 16-year old local girl who collapsed at school due to a brain anerysym. (sp). Sadly she did not make it. Her funeral was held today. Because of her, 7 other people will be able to live. Her organs were donated. I never met the girl. Just read about her in the local paper. But, she was very popular and almost the whole school came to her service. I have been so depressed since reading about it. So sad. So many people loved her. Treat everyone with kindness and care. Because there might not be a tomorrow. You just never know. Such a sweet young life taken way too soon. She was just 16, with her whole life ahead of her. I feel so bad for the parents and her sister. My aunt attended and she said it was just awful as you can imagine. It must of been hard for her because she lost her own 21-year old daughter just barely 2 years ago in a tragic car accident. It taught me such a valuable lesson. Never take life for granted.

RIP Rachel

That's a terrible thing for that girl and her family. There's been a spate of car accidents in these parts, taking the lives of about 6 teens. My brother and his wife lost a daughter at the age of 13 to leukemia. It's always wrenching, but most people do make it past today and you must plan and conduct your life accordingly.

it's so sad for her family, but you cant help but think it might have been destiny if she was able to save so many others by her passing.

She is an angel now. May God Bless her family.

Just live every day like it is your last. And treat everyone with kindness. Because you never know when you are going to be called. I am glad that I am also an organ donor. If I should happen to pass, I want to give to gift of life. More people should be organ donors. I feel so bad for her family and what they are having to face.
