Ya know, when ever life gets me down (luckly I've not had many of those days as of late  ) all I have to do is look around my little piece of heaven and God shows me ALL of His mighty power of creation! Upon returning home from a WONDERFUL fishing trip last evening, we were greeted by Bernie, Ernie, Fred and Barney (my resident Elk heard) 8-) Now I ask you, where else can you sit on your back deck and watch trophy elk grazing within 100 FEET of you?? Something ELSE very cool we've been witnessing, a coyote (yup, you guessed it, we've named him Willie Coyote LOL!) following Bernie and company, talked to a friend of ours who is a AZ Game and Fish officer, says he's seen this happen a lot, a coyote will loose his pack, take up with a heard of elk for protection and food, as the elk graze, they stir up field mice, rabbits etc.

Dennis

OH.....I'm sending Chad a pic of them, sorry the image isn't more clear but non the less, you can *kinda* see just how close they are to me. This photo was taken this morning, they were approx 150' away, I had the digital camera in tele mode (only 2x :? ) ENJOY!!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing the clan as well! You haven't mentioned Bernie and Ernie and friends in awhile and I was wondering what happened to them!

I know I've seen alot while on my excursions to Colorado - those suckers are huge! :o

You sure do have your own piece of Eden out there Dennis!

OK Smartie,

I'm going out in my backyard. I usually see two bunnies out there. I'm naming them tonight. Michelle and Dennis will be the closest I come to seeing wildlife like yours. Oh, that's not true I did live trap a little groundhog and took him to the local park. (He was eating my gardens!!!)

Take care

Thanks Chad, one of these days I'm gonna learn how to post a photo "LOL!"

Bernie and company are here every single evening, every morning, they come down to feed and water in the meadow. I've caught them in my back Koi pond drinking, I couldn't figure out why the water levels kept dropping, then one morning, elk *jelly beans* all around the pond!
