well, Omaha could still get snow, but it looks like you guys will be on the far southern end, so you might miss out on it.
After a 6z run of going a little farther south, the gfs now looks to be back with its 00z run. Major snowstorm across southern MN into wisconsin and maybe extreme north iowa. I still think Minneapolis will see a foot, with a similar amount across most of southern MN. I will make a chart of my forecasted snowfall totals later tonight.

as long as its not cold rain... but as of right now it looks like theyll be freezing rain and sleet sat night, sun night and mon night, it coluld be a big winter event here in North Texas...

man
this upcoming winter event for North Texas is looking better and better.. accuweather just updated their forecast now they say a low of 24 thursday night with the winter precip starting then and after that constant freezing drizzle freezing rain and snow/rain showers for like 2 -3 days after that with highs in the low to mid 30s and lows in the 20s now their saying another winter storm could happen early next week. things could be wintry for like a week straight in north texas and oklahoma... it wouldnt be such a big deal if it was just snow but a week a freezing rain/sleet could make things total mess!!

The upcoming pattern is favorable for much below average temperatures to last a while for Texas. This weekend, zonal flow and a ridge trying to build in the Gulf will help to push the brunt of the cold away from here. If it wasn't for that, we would be in the freezer next weekend. However, next week, the pattern shifts slightly. The trough in the west becomes inverted, and in a favorable position for continuous shots of cold Canadian air to push through Texas. In fact, this is one of those patterns next week where the coldest air comes to Texas first, and then warms up a bit as it passes east. Kinda like December. The cold air comes straight south, rather than southeast.

I think hes talking about the DFW area where we are...I brought up the subject yesterday and been asking about it ever since

I wouldnt say it is a bust yet, the NGM still has a major snowstorm for all of southern MN including the cities...so dont throw in the towel yet. I am not changing my forecast...I still say it goes further north and slams southern MN with a slower path...theres no way HPc's solution will happen...this storm wont move nearly that fast!
