It's So Hot...

#1 Postby southerngale » Fri May 30, 2003 12:29 pm

The birds are having to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground!!

And our local farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard boiled eggs! :o

You poor folks - come up here and summer hasn't even started yet. It's so cool and rains a lot. This is starting to remind of a summer in the early 90s. We rarely hit 80 that whole summer and many times, it was slightly above 70. My kids did little swimming that year. I'm hoping this summer won't be a repeat of that strange wx. I keep looking at our 7 day forecast and I just don't see many 80 degree days. Strange. I'll send it your way.......

You thought I was joking, Bonnie? :?

Miss Mary, I can't even imagine! I'm so used to roasting down here during the summer months, which by the way, is about 10 months out of the year. Yesterday, we my potatoes cooked underground. All we had to do for lunch was pull a few out and add some butter, sour cream, salt and pepper.
